Mem

< Back to All Connectors
Connect your AI to Mem
Knowledge workers, researchers and writers, and the team leads who rely on their notes, keep everything in Mem, but finding the right note across collections or seeing how notes connect means opening them one at a time. AI can search, summarize and relate those notes in seconds, but only if it reads just the notes the connected Mem account can access and keeps trashed notes out of sight unless you ask for them.

Why it matters

Capabilities that matter most for Mem

01

Related notes, ranked

Popdock exposes Mem's related notes lookup with a similarity score, so AI can show which notes belong together and which look like duplicates.
02

Notes and collections together

Notes, collections and note counts reach your AI client in one place, so a question about a topic spans every collection, not just the one you have open.
03

Read only by design

The Mem prompts built for the app store only read. Every write is ruled out in the prompt text, and trashed notes stay hidden unless you ask for them.
03

Ready-made Mem apps

Three Get data tools and five read-only prompts for finding, summarizing, digesting and auditing notes are built and offered for Mem in the app store.

Use cases

Example AI Use Cases for Mem

Filters

scenario

-

Collections in Mem pile up over time. Some are empty, some hold a note or two, some have no description, and a few differ only in spelling or plural. Finding them means opening each collection in turn, and nobody gets round to it.

What popdock provides

--

Ask for an audit and it reads every collection in your Mem account, then checks each one against five rules: empty, thin (fewer than a note count you choose, three by default), undescribed, not updated in 180 days, and overlapping titles. You get one table per finding with the title, note count and last update, plus a suggested action for each collection: merge, describe, delete or keep. It only recommends. Nothing in Mem is changed, and trashed notes stay hidden unless you ask for them.

Business outcome

---

You see which collections need tidying, and what to do about each, without opening a single one or risking a change.

scenario

-

A topic in Mem rarely lives in one place. Notes on the same subject end up filed in different collections or left unfiled, and scrolling or browsing one collection at a time misses most of them. You end up rewriting something you already captured.

What popdock provides

--

Name a topic, and optionally a collection, and it searches your Mem note titles for it. If you name a collection it first confirms exactly one collection matches, and stops to list the candidates if none or several do. If nothing matches the topic it tries one shorter keyword and tells you it did. You get a table of title, collection, last update and snippet, newest first, with a line on which note looks most central. It only reads, and trashed notes stay hidden.

Business outcome

---

You find what you already wrote on a topic across every collection, and stop recreating notes you have.

scenario

-

Related ideas in a note library drift apart. Two notes cover the same point under different titles, or a thread you wrote last spring belongs with something you wrote today. Spotting duplicates and connections from memory leaves ideas scattered and unfiled.

What popdock provides

--

Give the title of a note, and optionally a minimum similarity score (0.5 by default). It finds that note in Mem, and if the title matches several notes it lists them with their last update and stops rather than guessing. It then finds the notes Mem rates as most related and returns a ranked table with score and snippet, explains in a sentence why each of the top three connects, and points out likely duplicates or notes that belong in the same collection. It only reads, and trashed notes stay hidden.

Business outcome

---

You see which notes belong together and which are duplicates, with the reasoning, so you can merge or file them yourself.

scenario

-

At the end of a week it is hard to say what you captured or changed in Mem. Recalling it means reopening note after note, and the open threads and follow-ups buried in them are easy to lose before the next planning meeting.

What popdock provides

--

Give a start date and, optionally, an end date (today by default), and it reads the Mem notes created or updated in that range. It separates new notes from edited ones, groups them by collection with unfiled notes under their own heading, and gives each a one-line gist drawn from its content. It closes with the open threads and action items it can see in those notes. It only reads, and trashed notes stay hidden.

Business outcome

---

You get a grouped recap of the week, with open threads called out, ready for your next planning conversation.

scenario

-

A collection in Mem can hold dozens of notes written over months by different people. Getting its gist means reading every note, and the themes, the stale notes and the near-empty ones are easy to miss when you skim.

What popdock provides

--

Name a collection, and optionally how many notes to read (20 by default), and it finds that collection in Mem. If the name matches no collection or several, it lists the candidates and stops instead of guessing. It reads the full content of the notes rather than just snippets, then writes a short summary, the main themes with the notes that support each, and the notes that look stale or nearly empty. If the cap cut the list short it says how many exist against how many it read. It only reads, and trashed notes stay hidden.

Business outcome

---

You get the gist of a collection, with themes and stale notes flagged, in the time it takes to read one answer.
