The problem

Rebuilding a Drip segment in Constant Contact is risky work

Sending a Drip audience through Constant Contact means exporting tagged subscribers, checking who already exists and creating the rest on the right list. Done by hand, it is easy to overwrite contacts or record permission nobody gave.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export tagged subscribers from Drip
  • Search Constant Contact for each email
  • Create the rest and add them to the list
  • Guess at permission to send

With PopdockAI

  • Tagged subscribers and the list are found for you
  • Existing Constant Contact contacts are never touched
  • You see the counts and confirm before anything is created
  • Permission is left unset unless you say how they opted in

Prompt
**Objective:** Build a Constant Contact list from a Drip audience. Take active Drip subscribers whose tags include `{tag}` and, after confirmation, create the ones Constant Contact lacks as contacts on the list named `{list-name}`.

**Step 1: Read the audience from Drip**

Call `drip-get-subscriber` with `tags.contains` set to `{tag}` and `status` set to active. Note `email`, `first-name`, `last-name` and `phone-number`.

**Step 2: Find the target list**

Call `constant-contact-get-contact-list` with `name` set to `{list-name}`. If there is no exact match, list near matches from `name.contains` and stop so the user can pick or create the list first. Note its `list-id`.

**Step 3: Check each person against Constant Contact**

For each Drip person, call `constant-contact-get-contact` with `email-address` set to their `email`. Split into: already in Constant Contact (note `permission-to-send`) and missing.

**Step 4: Confirm**

Show the counts (tagged in Drip, already in Constant Contact, missing) and a table of the missing people. Ask: "Create these N contacts in Constant Contact on the list?" Do nothing until the user says yes.

**Step 5: Write and confirm**

For each confirmed person, call `constant-contact-add-contact` once with `email`, `first-name`, `last-name`, `phone` from Drip and `list-id` set to the list's id. Leave `permission-to-send` unset unless the user tells you how these people opted in. Re-read each with `constant-contact-get-contact` and confirm the contact exists.

**Step 6: Report**

A table: email, result (created, already in Constant Contact, failed). List separately the people already in Constant Contact, since this prompt does not add existing contacts to the list.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `drip-get-subscriber` is on the drip server. `constant-contact-get-contact-list`, `constant-contact-get-contact` and `constant-contact-add-contact` are on the constant-contact server.
* The only write allowed is `constant-contact-add-contact`, after Step 4, and only for people missing from Constant Contact.
* Never touch a contact Constant Contact already has, and never set `permission-to-send` to explicit unless the user confirms these people opted in directly.
* Do NOT call `constant-contact-update-contact`, `constant-contact-add-contact-list` or any drip- action.

**Validation:**

* If no active Drip subscriber has the tag, say so and stop.
* If everyone is already in Constant Contact, say so and stop without writing.
* Skip anyone with a blank email and list them as skipped.
