See everything blocking the month-end close in one checklist
For controllers who want unposted batches, documents and unreconciled bank accounts in Dynamics GP checked before close, by asking their AI assistant.

The problem
One forgotten batch means reopening the month
Before closing a month in Dynamics GP a controller checks unposted batches, sales, receipts, timesheets, expenses and bank reconciliations, each in a different window. Miss one and the period has to be reopened later.
Without PopdockAI
- Open each batch window and filter for unposted items
- Check sales, receipts, timesheets and expenses separately
- Look up the last reconciliation date for every checkbook
- Reopen the period when something was missed
With PopdockAI
- Unposted batches are split into awaiting approval and not posted
- Sales, receipts, timesheets and expenses are checked together
- Checkbooks not reconciled to period end are listed
- A ready or attention checklist, with nothing changed
The prompt

**Objective:** Tell the controller what still stands between them and closing the period ending `{period-end-date}` (default the last day of the previous month).
Pass `{company}` as `company` on every call (if it is empty, omit `company` and the default company is used). Pass a generous `max-records` (1000). If a result comes back with exactly that many rows, say the result may be truncated.
**Step 1: Batches**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-cmp-batch` with `batch-date.to` set to the period end. Keep batches that are not posted (by `status`), and group them by `series` with `number-of-transactions`, `total` and `workflow-approval-status`. Batches waiting on approval are a separate item from batches nobody has posted.
**Step 2: Unposted documents by module**
* Sales: `dynamics-gp-get-rm-sales-trx` with `document-date.to` at the period end; keep those whose `posting-status` is unposted, by `sop-type`.
* Purchasing: `dynamics-gp-get-pm-receivings-trx` with `receipt-date.to` at the period end; keep unposted `posting-status`.
* Project time: `dynamics-gp-get-pa-timesheet` with `document-date.to` at the period end; keep those whose `status` is not posted.
* Project expenses: `dynamics-gp-get-pa-employee-expense` with `document-date.to` at the period end; keep those whose `status` is not posted.
**Step 3: Bank**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-gl-checkbook` for checkbooks that are not `inactive`. Any whose `last-reconciled-date` is before the period end has not been reconciled for the period.
**Step 4: Report**
A checklist with one line per area (batches, sales, purchasing, project time, project expenses, bank): a ready or attention marker, the count and total outstanding. Under each attention line, list the items (batch number, document number, date, amount, who or what it belongs to), oldest first, at most 10 per area with a count of the rest.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* This prompt is read-only. Do not call any tool whose name does not contain `get` (no add, update, note or email tools).
* Report status values exactly as returned; do not reinterpret a status you do not recognise as posted.
**Validation:**
* If every area is clear, say the period looks ready to close, and list what these tools cannot check (subledger to GL reconciliation, accruals, fixed asset depreciation runs).Who it's for
One answer, three teams that use it
Controllers
See every close blocker in one list
A ready or attention marker per area tells you where to send people before you lock the period.
Is Dynamics GP ready to close October? Period end is 31 October.
Staff accountants
Find the oldest unposted items first
Counts, totals and the oldest items in each area show which batches and documents to post or chase today.
Which unposted batches and sales documents in Dynamics GP are holding up the June close?
Treasury teams
Confirm the bank is reconciled
Active checkbooks not reconciled to period end are listed, so bank reconciliations are done before the close.
Which Dynamics GP checkbooks are not reconciled to 30 September?
How it works
What PopdockAI does when you ask
You give the period end date, and your AI assistant checks every area of Dynamics GP that can block the close. It reports what is outstanding and what it cannot check, and changes nothing.
01
Ask
You give the period end date.
02
Batches
It reads unposted batches, separating those awaiting approval from the rest.
03
Documents
It checks unposted sales, receipts, timesheets, expenses and bank reconciliations.
04
Report
You get a ready or attention checklist with counts and the oldest items.
