The problem

Big spenders wait in the queue at normal priority

A Zendesk queue treats every requester the same, so a customer who has spent thousands can wait behind routine questions. Checking each requester's spend in Shopify by hand is not realistic for a whole queue.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open each ticket and note the requester
  • Look up their spend in Shopify
  • Work out B2B company spend separately
  • Raise priorities by gut feel

With PopdockAI

  • Each requester is looked up once in Shopify
  • B2B contacts use their company spend
  • Tickets are ranked by value, then age
  • High value customers at low priority get a suggested priority

Prompt
**Objective:** Rank the open Zendesk tickets by the Shopify value of the customer who raised them, and flag tickets from customers who have spent at least `{min-total-spent}` (default 500) that are sitting at low or normal priority.

**Step 1: Read the queue**

Call `zendesk-get-ticket` twice, once with status new and once with status open (check the tool schema for the exact values), with max-records `{max-tickets}` (default 100) each. Note ticket-id, subject, priority, status, requester-email, group-name, assignee-name and created-date.

**Step 2: Look up each requester in Shopify**

For each distinct requester-email, call `shopify-get-customer` filtered by email. Note total-spent, orders-count and tags. If nothing matches, call `shopify-get-company-contact` filtered by customer-email. If that matches, note the company-name and look up its total-spent with `shopify-get-company` filtered by company-id.

Requesters found in neither are not Shopify customers. Give them a value of 0 and keep them in the list.

**Step 3: Rank and flag**

Sort tickets by customer value, highest first, then by created-date, oldest first. Flag a ticket when the value is at least `{min-total-spent}` and the priority is low, normal or empty.

**Step 4: Report**

* A summary line: tickets read, requesters found in Shopify, flagged tickets.
* Flagged tickets: ticket-id, subject, requester, value, orders-count, current priority, age in days, assignee.
* The full ranking, the first 25 rows.
* A suggested priority for each flagged ticket. Do not apply it.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `zendesk-get-ticket` is on the zendesk server. `shopify-get-customer`, `shopify-get-company-contact` and `shopify-get-company` are on the shopify server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do not call `zendesk-update-ticket`, `zendesk-add-ticket-comment`, `shopify-update-customer` or any other write tool. Changing priorities is a decision for the user.
* Look each email up once, even if it raised several tickets.

**Validation:**

* If the queue is empty, say so and stop.
* If total-spent values are in different currencies, show the currency with each value and do not rank across currencies without saying so.

Who it's for

One answer, three teams that use it

Support team leads

Reorder the queue by customer value

See which tickets come from your highest spending customers, with a suggested priority for any that are sitting too low.

Which open Zendesk tickets are from Shopify customers who spent over 5,000?

Ecommerce managers

Protect your most valuable customers

Make sure customers with the most spend, including B2B companies, are not left waiting at normal priority.

Rank new and open Zendesk tickets by Shopify spend and show the top 25.

Support agents

Know which ticket to pick up next

Work through the queue in order of customer value and age, rather than strictly in the order tickets arrived.

Flag any Zendesk tickets from customers with over 2,000 in Shopify orders that are still at low priority.
