The problem

Nobody reads the evidence before calling a deal

A straight answer about one deal means reading its products, quotes, emails, calls, meetings and notes, then judging whether stage, probability and close date are believable. Busy reps rarely do this before a forecast call.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open products and quotes on the deal
  • Scroll emails, calls and meetings
  • Read notes for the latest news
  • Forecast on gut feel

With PopdockAI

  • Products are compared with estimated revenue
  • The latest quote is checked for manual discounts
  • The last ten touchpoints form a timeline
  • Risks backed by facts and one next step, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Review the opportunity `{opportunity-topic}` in depth and recommend the single most useful next step to move it forward.

**Step 1: Find the opportunity**

Call `dynamics-365-sales-get-opportunities` with `topic` = `{opportunity-topic}`; if nothing matches, retry with `topic.contains`. If more than one matches, list them (topic, potential customer, owner, stage) and stop.

**Step 2: What is being sold**

* Call `dynamics-365-sales-get-opportunityproducts` with `opportunity` = the topic. Total the `extended-amount` and compare it with the opportunity's `est-revenue`.
* Call `dynamics-365-sales-get-quotes` with `opportunity` = the topic. For the most recent quote, call `dynamics-365-sales-get-quotedetails` with `quote` = the quote's name and note any line with a `manual-discount`.

**Step 3: Engagement**

Call `dynamics-365-sales-get-activitypointers`, `dynamics-365-sales-get-emails`, `dynamics-365-sales-get-phonecalls` and `dynamics-365-sales-get-appointments` with `regarding` = the topic, and `dynamics-365-sales-get-annotations` with `regarding` = the topic. Build a dated timeline of the last 10 touchpoints, and list any open activity past its due date.

**Step 4: Assess**

* Does the product total support the estimated revenue? Flag a gap of more than 10%.
* Is the `sales-stage` consistent with the `probability` and with the evidence (for example, a late stage with no quote is inconsistent)?
* Days since the last touchpoint, and whether the next step is scheduled (an open task, call or appointment in the future).
* Is the `est-close-date` realistic given the stage and activity?

**Step 5: Report**

1. A header: topic, customer, owner, stage, probability, est. revenue, est. close date.
2. Products and quote summary.
3. Engagement timeline.
4. Risks, each backed by a specific fact above.
5. One recommended next step, and whether the stage, probability or close date should be changed (as a suggestion only).

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call any create or update tool: `dynamics-365-sales-create-account`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-contact`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-lead`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-opportunity`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-case`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-task`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-note`, `dynamics-365-sales-create-phone-call`, `dynamics-365-sales-update-account`, `dynamics-365-sales-update-contact`, `dynamics-365-sales-update-lead`, `dynamics-365-sales-update-opportunity`, `dynamics-365-sales-update-case`.
* Filters on related records (customer, potential customer, regarding, opportunity, quote, order, invoice) match the record's display name exactly. If an exact match returns nothing, retry once with the matching `.contains` filter and say you did.
* If evidence is missing (no activity, no products), say that plainly; do not infer engagement that is not recorded.

**Validation:**

* If the opportunity is not found, say so and stop.
