The problem
Stock-outs found when an order cannot ship
Spotting items about to run out in Dynamics GP means weighing on hand, allocated, on order and back ordered stock against demand and lead time. Without that maths, buyers over-order or find out when a customer order cannot ship.
Without PopdockAI
- Export stock positions for every item
- Work out daily demand from recent sales
- Compare cover with each vendor's lead time
- Check open purchase orders before ordering more
With PopdockAI
- The company-wide stock position is read
- Recent sales become daily demand
- Low cover items get vendor terms and open orders
- Quantities are suggested by vendor, and nothing is ordered

**Objective:** Find the items in class `{item-class-code}` (or the single item `{item-number}`; default all items) that will run short, using demand over the last `{lookback-days}` days (default 90), and propose a reorder by vendor.
Pass `{company}` as `company` on every call (if it is empty, omit `company` and the default company is used). Pass a generous `max-records` (1000). If a result comes back with exactly that many rows, say the result may be truncated.
**Step 1: Stock position**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-iv-item-quantity` filtered by `item-class-code` or `item-number` when given. Use the item-level rows (by `record-type`) for the company-wide position; do not add site rows on top of them. For each item:
* available = `quantity-on-hand` minus `quantity-allocated`
* projected = available plus `quantity-on-order` minus `quantity-back-ordered`
**Step 2: Demand**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-rm-sales-line-item` with `document-date.from` at the lookback (and the item filter when given). Sum `quantity` per `item-number` on invoices and orders, ignoring returns and quotes (by `sop-type`), and turn it into average daily demand.
**Step 3: Supply terms**
For items where projected stock covers fewer days than twice the vendor lead time (or fewer than 30 days when no lead time is known), call `dynamics-gp-get-iv-vendor-item` filtered by `item-number`. Take `vendor-id`, `average-lead-time`, `economic-order-quantity`, `minimum-order-quantity` and `last-receipt-cost`. Then call `dynamics-gp-get-pm-purchase-order-line` filtered by `item-number` to show lines still open and when they are required.
**Step 4: Recommend**
Suggested quantity = demand over (lead time plus 30 days) minus projected stock, raised to the minimum order quantity and rounded up to the economic order quantity when those are set. Skip items where the result is zero or less.
**Step 5: Report**
Grouped by vendor: item number, description, available, on order, back ordered, days of cover, lead time, suggested quantity, estimated cost (suggested quantity times last receipt cost). Then list items with back orders but no vendor item record, since they cannot be reordered from a known source.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Read-only. Do not call `dynamics-gp-pm-purchase-order-add`, `dynamics-gp-iv-inventory-transfer-add`, `dynamics-gp-iv-vendor-item-add` or any tool whose name does not contain `get`.
* This is a suggestion list for a buyer, not an order. Say so at the top.
* Items with no sales in the lookback and no back orders are not at risk; leave them out.
**Validation:**
* If no items match the filter, say so and stop.
* If sales history is empty for the whole class, report stock and back orders only and say demand could not be measured.Who it's for
