Triage the Dynamics GP field service backlog
What should our Dynamics GP field service team dispatch next?
There are 47 open service calls, and 6 have no technician. - Next: SVC-1042 for Contoso, priority 1, open 4 days - Unassigned: 6 calls, 2 of them high priority - Workload: Sam Patel has 11 open calls, Jordan Lee has 3 - Old work orders: 5 older than 14 days I treated priority 1 as most urgent. Want the next ten calls?

The problem

Dispatchers guess which call to send next

Dispatchers in Dynamics GP need to know which open calls to send next, which have no technician and who is overloaded. Status codes differ between setups and work orders sit apart from calls, so building that picture by hand is slow.

Without PopdockAI

  • Work out which status codes mean open
  • List open calls and their ages
  • Count open calls per technician
  • Match work orders to calls by hand

With PopdockAI

  • Your status codes are learned and every open call read
  • Calls per technician are counted and unassigned calls flagged
  • Open work orders are linked to their calls
  • The next ten calls to dispatch, with nothing changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Triage the open field service backlog for office `{office-id}` and technician `{technician-id}` (defaults: all), so a dispatcher knows what to send next and who is overloaded.

Pass `{company}` as `company` on every call (if it is empty, omit `company` and the default company is used). Pass a generous `max-records` (1000). If a result comes back with exactly that many rows, say the result may be truncated.

**Step 1: Learn the status codes**

Call `dynamics-gp-get-srv-service-status` and read the `status` codes and `description` values. Decide from the descriptions which codes mean the call is finished; use that to classify calls in Step 2 alongside `complete-date`.

**Step 2: Open calls**

Call `dynamics-gp-get-srv-service-call`, passing `office-id` and `tech-id` when given. A call is open when it has no `complete-date` and its `service-call-status` is not a finished code. For each open call compute age in days from `entry-date`.

**Step 3: Technicians**

Call `dynamics-gp-get-srv-tech` (with `office-id` when given) to name each `tech-id` and see their `status`. Count open calls per technician. Flag calls with no `tech-id` and calls assigned to a technician whose status is not active or who has a `termination-date`.

**Step 4: Work orders**

Call `dynamics-gp-get-srv-work-order` with `office-id` when given, and keep those with no `complete-date`. Link them to calls by `service-call-number` and note calls waiting on a work order.

**Step 5: Report**

* The next ten calls to dispatch, ranked by `priority-level` then age: call number, customer, service type, priority, age, technician, status, description.
* Unassigned calls and calls assigned to inactive technicians.
* Workload table: technician, office, open calls, oldest open call.
* Open work orders older than 14 days.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Read-only. Do not call `dynamics-gp-srv-service-call-update`, `dynamics-gp-srv-equipment-update`, `dynamics-gp-srv-rma-update` or any tool whose name does not contain `get`.
* Priority numbering varies by setup; say which direction you treated as most urgent.

**Validation:**

* If there are no open calls, say so and report the number completed in the last 7 days.
