The problem
Matching store customers to Nutshell by name invites mistakes
A rep opens BigCommerce for the orders and Nutshell for the relationship. Refunds and open leads are easy to miss, and matching a store customer to a Nutshell contact by name alone can pick the wrong person.
Without PopdockAI
- Total orders and refunds in BigCommerce
- Search Nutshell by name and guess the right contact
- Open the account, leads and activities separately
- Miss a refund or an open lead before the call
With PopdockAI
- Orders, spend and refunds are totalled from BigCommerce
- Only the Nutshell contact whose emails include the address is kept
- Account, leads and recent activities are added
- It stops on duplicates and changes nothing

**Objective:** Build one brief on the customer `{customer-email}` from BigCommerce and Nutshell, looking back `{lookback-days}` days for orders (default 365).
**Step 1: Find the customer in BigCommerce**
Call `bigcommerce-get-customer` with `email` set to `{customer-email}`. If nothing matches, report that the customer is not in BigCommerce and stop. If more than one matches, list them and stop.
**Step 2: Pull their orders**
Take `id` from that result and call `bigcommerce-get-order` with `customer-id` set to it and `date-created.from` set to today minus `{lookback-days}` days. Total `total-including-tax`, count the orders, and note `status`, `refunded-amount` and the latest `date-created`.
**Step 3: Find the CRM contact**
Call `nutshell-get-contact` with `name` set to the BigCommerce customer `name`. If nothing matches, retry with `name.contains` set to the last name. Pick the contact whose `emails` include `{customer-email}`. If none does, report the customer as present in BigCommerce and absent from Nutshell, and skip to Step 5.
**Step 4: Pull the CRM context**
Call `nutshell-get-account` with `id` set to the contact `company-id` (skip if empty). Call `nutshell-get-lead` with `person-id` set to the contact `id` and report `name`, `status`, `value` and `anticipated-close-time` for each lead. Call `nutshell-get-activity` with `name.contains` set to the customer name only if you need recent touchpoints.
**Step 5: Report**
Give: the customer (name, email, company), order count and revenue for the period, refunds, the CRM contact owner and last-contacted date, the account, and open leads. End with one line saying whether the CRM view and the store view agree.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `bigcommerce-*` tools are on the bigcommerce server and `nutshell-*` tools are on the nutshell server. Both servers must be connected.
* This is read-only. Never call any add, update or delete tool on either server (for example `bigcommerce-customer-update`, `nutshell-add-person`, `nutshell-update-lead`, `nutshell-delete-company`).
**Validation:**
* If either system returns nothing, say which one and continue with the other.
* If the emails or names differ in case or spacing, treat them as equal and note the difference.Who it's for
One answer, three teams that use it
Account managers
Prepare for a call in one message
Orders, refunds and open leads arrive together, so you start the conversation knowing where things stand.
Brief me on jo@contoso.com with BigCommerce orders and open Nutshell leads.
Support agents
Know about open leads before you reply
An open lead or recent activity tells you a sales conversation is already under way.
Does lee@fabrikam.com have any open leads in Nutshell, and what have they ordered in BigCommerce in the last 60 days?
Sales managers
See whether CRM and store tell the same story
The brief ends by saying whether the two views agree, so gaps in the CRM show up.
Do Nutshell and BigCommerce agree on dana@northwindtraders.com? Show orders, account and leads.
