The problem

Weekly BugHerd updates take longer than they should

A weekly update on a BugHerd project means counting tasks per column, working out what was added and archived, checking the inbox and scanning for critical or overdue items. Numbers copied from different screens at different times rarely add up.

Without PopdockAI

  • Count tasks in every board column
  • Work out what was added and archived this week
  • Check the feedback inbox and scan for critical items
  • Reconcile numbers that do not add up

With PopdockAI

  • Columns, new and archived tasks and the inbox are read together
  • Critical and past due tasks are picked out as risks
  • Only counts it actually read are reported
  • A headline and focus points are written, nothing changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Produce a status report for the BugHerd project `{project-name}` covering the last `{lookback-days}` days (default 7).

**Step 1: Find the project**

Call `bugherd-get-projects` with `name.contains` set to `{project-name}`. If nothing matches, say so and stop. If more than one project matches, list their names and project-id values and ask which one is meant; do not guess. Use the matching project's project-id in every later call.

**Step 2: Board shape**

Call `bugherd-get-columns` with `project-id`. Record each column's name and number-of-tasks: this is the current shape of the board.

**Step 3: Activity in the period**

* Call `bugherd-get-tasks` with `project-id` and `created.from` set to the start of the period to get new tasks.
* Call `bugherd-get-archived-tasks` with `project-id` and `created.from` set to the start of the period to see what was archived.
* Call `bugherd-get-feedback` with `project-id` to count what is still waiting in the inbox.
* Call `bugherd-get-tasks` with `project-id` and `severity` set to critical to list open critical tasks.

**Step 4: Report**

Use these sections:

1. **Headline:** one sentence on whether the project is getting healthier or worse.
2. **Board:** column name and task count, in board order.
3. **This period:** tasks created, tasks archived, feedback waiting.
4. **At risk:** open critical tasks and any task whose due-date has passed, with task number, title and assignee.
5. **Suggested focus:** at most three bullets.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call any write tool: `bugherd-add-task`, `bugherd-add-feedback`, `bugherd-update-task`, `bugherd-move-task`, `bugherd-add-comment`, `bugherd-add-attachment-from-url`, `bugherd-add-project`, `bugherd-update-project`, `bugherd-add-project-member`, `bugherd-add-guest-to-project`. This prompt is read-only.
* Report counts you read; never estimate a number you did not fetch.
* If a list returned exactly the max-records limit, say the count may be higher.

**Validation:**

* If the project has no tasks at all, say so and stop after Step 2.
