Budget owners export dimension balances and budgets from Dynamics GP, line them up by code and period and work out where spending ran over. Then they go back into the system to find the postings behind the biggest overspends.

The prompt

**Objective:** Compare dimension spending to budget in `{company}` (default company if empty) for dimension group `{group-id}` and fiscal year `{fiscal-year}` (default current).
**Step 1: Actuals**
Call `powergp-online-get-dimensionperiodbalances` with `group-id` equal to `{group-id}`. Note each `code-id` with `code-amount` by fiscal period.
**Step 2: Budgets**
Call `powergp-online-get-dimensionbudgets` with `max-records` 500 and keep rows for the same codes and fiscal year.
**Step 3: Detail on the biggest overspends**
For the 5 most overspent codes, call `powergp-online-get-dimensiontransactions` with `group-id` and `code-id` to list the largest postings.
**Step 4: Report**
Per code: budget, actual, variance, variance percent. Rank overspends first. For the top 5 list the largest transactions (date, document, amount, description). Say clearly where a code has no budget.
