The problem
Products can sell below cost for months before anyone notices
Prices and costs drift apart when someone updates Shopify but not Sage Intacct, or the other way round. Checking SKU by SKU is slow, and a product quietly selling below cost can go unnoticed for months.
Without PopdockAI
- Open each Shopify variant and its inventory cost
- Find the matching Sage Intacct item
- Compare base price and standard or average cost
- Miss the items selling below cost
With PopdockAI
- Each Shopify variant's price and cost is read for you
- The Sage Intacct item's base price and cost are compared
- Differences, prices below cost and missing costs are flagged first
- It recommends fixes but changes nothing
The prompt

**Objective:** For `{sku}` (default: the variants of products from vendor `{product-vendor}`, or the first 50 variants if neither is given), compare Shopify's price and cost with Intacct's base price and standard cost, and flag any difference above `{tolerance-percent}` percent (default 0).
**Step 1: Read the Shopify variants**
If `{sku}` is set, call `shopify-get-product-variant` with `sku` = `{sku}`. Otherwise, if `{product-vendor}` is set, call `shopify-get-product` with `vendor` = `{product-vendor}`, then `shopify-get-product-variant` with each `product-id`. Otherwise call `shopify-get-product-variant` with `max-records` = 50.
Keep `sku`, `title`, `price` and `inventory-item-id`. Skip variants with an empty `sku`, and count how many you skipped.
**Step 2: Read the Shopify cost**
For each variant, call `shopify-get-inventory-item` with `inventory-item-id` and keep `cost`.
**Step 3: Read the Intacct item**
For each SKU, call `intacct-get-item` with `item-id` = the SKU. Keep `base-price` and `standard-cost`. If the item uses average costing, call `intacct-get-item-warehouse` with the same `item-id` and use `average-cost` (or `last-cost` if average is empty), noting which one you used.
If Intacct has no item with that id, record it as "in Shopify, not in Intacct" and continue.
**Step 4: Report**
A table with columns: SKU, title, Shopify price, Intacct base price, Shopify cost, Intacct cost, and a flag column. Flag a row when price or cost differs by more than `{tolerance-percent}` percent, when the Shopify price is below either cost (negative margin), or when either cost is empty. Sort flagged rows first.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `shopify-get-product`, `shopify-get-product-variant` and `shopify-get-inventory-item` are on the shopify server. `intacct-get-item` and `intacct-get-item-warehouse` are on the intacct server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `shopify-update-product` or any other update or create tool on either server, even to fix a mismatch; recommend the fix instead.
* Compare amounts in the same currency only. If the Shopify shop currency and the Intacct item currency obviously differ, say so and do not compute percentages.
**Validation:**
* If no variants are found, report the filter used and stop.
* If an Intacct base price is empty, the item may be priced by price list; report it as "priced by price list" rather than as a mismatch.Who it's for
