The problem
Big abandoned carts never get a personal follow-up
A high-value abandoned cart is a sale that almost happened, but nothing tells a salesperson to follow it up. Finding big carts, checking the shopper in HubSpot and whether someone is already chasing them takes too long.
Without PopdockAI
- Look through recent abandoned carts in Mailchimp
- Check whether each shopper can be emailed
- Search HubSpot for the shopper
- Create tasks for a few and forget the rest
With PopdockAI
- Recent carts above your total are read, the largest per shopper
- Email permission in Mailchimp is noted for each shopper
- Shoppers not in HubSpot or already being chased are skipped
- Each task carries the checkout link and is created after you confirm

**Objective:** For every Mailchimp abandoned cart of at least `{min-cart-total}` (default 100) created in the last `{lookback-days}` days (default 7) whose shopper is a HubSpot contact, create a HubSpot follow-up task due in `{due-in-days}` days (default 1), after the user confirms.
**Step 1: Abandoned carts in Mailchimp**
Call `mailchimp-get-cart` with `order-total.min` set to `{min-cart-total}` (100 if blank) and `created-at-date.from` set to today minus `{lookback-days}` days (7 if blank). Keep `cart-id`, `customer-email`, `customer-first-name`, `customer-last-name`, `order-total`, `currency-code`, `created-at-date`, `checkout-url` and `store-id`. If one shopper has several carts, keep the largest and note the count.
**Step 2: Can the shopper be emailed?**
For each shopper, call `mailchimp-get-list-member` with `email` set to their email and note whether they are subscribed in any audience. This goes in the report and the task body; it does not exclude anyone, because the follow-up may be a call.
**Step 3: Find each shopper in HubSpot**
Call `hubspot-get-contacts` with `email` set to the shopper's email. Keep `record-id`, `company-id`, `contact-owner` and `phone-number`. Shoppers with no HubSpot contact go on a "not in HubSpot" list and get no task.
**Step 4: Skip shoppers already being chased**
Call `hubspot-get-tasks` with `contact-email` set to the email and `task-title.contains` set to Abandoned cart. If any of those tasks has a `task-status` other than COMPLETED, put the shopper in "already has an open cart task" and give them no new task.
**Step 5: Confirm**
Show the tasks to be created: email, name, cart total and currency, cart date, emailable in Mailchimp (yes or no), HubSpot owner, phone, due date. Then the "already has an open cart task" and "not in HubSpot" lists. Say the tasks will be unassigned unless the user gives a numeric HubSpot owner ID. Ask the user to confirm, or to name shoppers to leave out. Do nothing more until they confirm.
**Step 6: Create the tasks**
Only after confirmation, call `hubspot-add-task` once per confirmed shopper with:
* `subject`: Abandoned cart: <currency-code> <order-total>
* `body`: Mailchimp abandoned cart <cart-id> created <created-at-date>. Checkout link: <checkout-url>. Emailable in Mailchimp: <yes or no>.
* `due-date`: today plus `{due-in-days}` days (1 if blank), as an ISO date such as 2026-03-01
* `status` NOT_STARTED, `priority` HIGH, `type` CALL when the contact has a phone-number, otherwise TODO
* `contact-ids` set to the contact's `record-id`, and `company-ids` set to its `company-id` when it has one
* `owner-id` only if the user gave a numeric HubSpot owner ID
Report each new task id, then the totals: created, failed (with the error), already chased, not in HubSpot.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `mailchimp-get-cart` and `mailchimp-get-list-member` are on the Mailchimp server; `hubspot-get-contacts`, `hubspot-get-tasks` and `hubspot-add-task` are on the hubspot server.
* `hubspot-add-task` is the only write tool this prompt may call, once per confirmed person, after confirmation. Call no other hubspot-add, hubspot-update, hubspot-rename, hubspot-remove, hubspot-subscribe, hubspot-unsubscribe or hubspot-import tool; in particular do not change the contact.
* Do NOT set `owner-id` unless the user gives a numeric HubSpot owner ID; the contact-owner returned by `hubspot-get-contacts` is a name, and no tool here maps it to an ID. Without one the tasks are created unassigned, so say so at the confirmation step.
* Mailchimp is read-only here. Do NOT call `mailchimp-add-list-member`, `mailchimp-update-list-member`, `mailchimp-add-customer`, `mailchimp-update-customer`, `mailchimp-add-segment-member`, `mailchimp-start-automation`, `mailchimp-pause-automation`, `mailchimp-replicate-campaign`, `mailchimp-update-product` or `mailchimp-update-order`.
* Match on email address only, compared case-insensitively with surrounding spaces trimmed.
* A HubSpot task cannot carry the cart's products or link to a HubSpot order; the checkout link in the body is the only way back to the cart.
**Validation:**
* If Mailchimp returns no carts, say so and stop.
* If every shopper is already being chased or not in HubSpot, report the lists and stop without asking for confirmation.
* If one email matches more than one HubSpot contact, list them and create no task for that email.Who it's for
