The problem

Nobody can say which campaigns actually paid off

Judging campaigns means comparing their cost in Business Central with the opportunities each produced and how many were won. Opportunities cannot be filtered by campaign, so the matching ends up in a spreadsheet.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export campaigns and their costs
  • Export opportunities and match them to campaigns
  • Count won, lost and open deals in a spreadsheet
  • Rank campaigns by gut feel

With PopdockAI

  • Campaigns and opportunities in the period are read together
  • Won, lost and open deals and value are counted per campaign
  • Campaigns are ranked by value won per unit of cost
  • Gaps in the opportunity read are flagged, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Compare the results of campaigns that started on or after `{start-date}` (default one year ago).

Pass `{company}` as the company argument on every call. If `{company}` is empty, leave the company argument out so the connector's default company is used.

**Step 1: Campaigns**

Call `business-central-get-campaign` with starting-date.from `{start-date}`. Note campaign-number, description, status-code, cost, estimated-value, current-value, number-of-opportunities, salesperson-name and activated.

**Step 2: Opportunities**

Call `business-central-get-opportunity` with max-records 1000 and estimated-closing-date.from `{start-date}`. The tool cannot filter by campaign, so match opportunities to campaigns yourself using campaign-number in the results. Count won (status Won), lost (status Lost) and open ones per campaign, and total estimated-value for each group.

**Step 3: Report**

* Table: campaign, status, activated, cost, opportunities, won count and value, open count and value, lost count, value won per unit of cost
* The best and worst campaign by value won per unit of cost, among campaigns with a cost above zero
* Activated campaigns with no opportunities at all

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* This prompt is read-only. Do not call any tool named business-central-create-* or business-central-update-*.
* If the opportunity read hit its limit, say the matching may be incomplete.

**Validation:**

* If no campaigns started in the period, say so and stop.
