The problem

One careless edit wipes the whole comment

Fixing a comment on a Postman collection means finding it among every thread, and an edit replaces the whole text, so a careless change can wipe what was there. Postman only lets the author edit a comment, which you may learn only when it fails.

Without PopdockAI

  • Scroll every thread on the collection
  • Retype the whole comment to change one line
  • Lose the original text by mistake
  • Find out it was not your comment when the edit fails

With PopdockAI

  • The matching comment is found, with a choice if several match
  • Its author is shown, with a warning if it is not yours
  • Current and new text are shown side by side
  • It updates after you confirm and reads the comment back

The prompt

Prompt
**Objective:** Change the text of the comment on collection `{collection-name}` that contains `{comment-search}` to `{new-text}`.

**Step 1: Find the comment**

Call `postman-get-collection-comments` with `collection-name` = `{collection-name}` (fall back to `collection-name.contains`) and `comment.contains` = `{comment-search}`. Keep collection-uid, comment-id, thread-id, comment, created-by and created-at.

If more than one comment matches, list them (comment-id, author, date, first 80 characters) and ask which one. If none match, say so and stop.

**Step 2: Check authorship**

Postman only lets the author edit a comment. Show who wrote it. If it plainly belongs to someone else, warn that the update will likely be rejected and ask whether to continue.

**Step 3: Confirm, then update**

Show the current text and `{new-text}` side by side. Only after the user confirms, call `postman-update-collection-comment` once with `collection-uid`, `comment-id` and `comment` = `{new-text}`.

**Step 4: Report**

Re-read the comment with `postman-get-collection-comments` filtered by `thread-id` and show the stored text, or show the error the update returned.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `postman-update-collection-comment` replaces the whole text. Never send a partial edit; send the full new text.
* Do NOT call `postman-add-collection-comment`. This prompt edits, it never posts.
* One comment per run.

**Validation:**

* If `{new-text}` is empty, ask for it and stop; never blank a comment.
