The problem
Proving a campaign led to sales means a spreadsheet nobody finishes
Showing an email campaign led to sales means matching everyone who opened or clicked to Business Central customers, then adding up invoices posted after the send. By hand it is a spreadsheet of lookups few teams ever finish.
Without PopdockAI
- Export opens and clicks from Constant Contact
- Look up each email as a customer
- Sum invoices posted after the send
- Overstate the result as revenue the campaign caused
With PopdockAI
- Everyone who opened or clicked is collected
- Emails are matched to customers, never by name
- Posted invoices in the window are totalled by currency
- The report states it shows correlation, not cause, and nothing is changed

**Objective:** Measure the Business Central revenue from customers who engaged with the Constant Contact campaign `{campaign-name}`, counting posted sales invoices dated within `{attribution-days}` days (default 30) after the campaign was sent.
**Step 1: Find the campaign in Constant Contact**
Call `constant-contact-get-campaign` with `name.contains` set to `{campaign-name}`. If more than one campaign matches, list them with `name`, `status` and `last-sent-date` and stop so the user can choose. If the campaign has no `last-sent-date`, say it has not been sent and stop. Keep `campaign-id`, `last-sent-date`, `sends`, `opens` and `clicks`.
**Step 2: Collect the engaged contacts**
Call `constant-contact-get-campaign-click` with `campaign-id`, then `constant-contact-get-campaign-open` with `campaign-id`. Build one list of distinct `email-address` values, recording for each whether the contact clicked or only opened.
**Step 3: Match each contact to a Business Central customer**
For each email, call `business-central-get-customer` with `email` set to the address. If no customer comes back, count the contact as engaged but not a customer and move on. If several come back, list all of them in the report rather than picking one.
**Step 4: Pull the invoices**
For each matched customer, call `business-central-get-posted-sales-invoice` with `sell-to-customer-number` set to the `customer-number`, `posting-date.from` set to the campaign's `last-sent-date`, and `posting-date.to` set to `{attribution-days}` days (default 30) after it. Sum `total-amount` per customer.
**Step 5: Report**
* A header line: campaign name, sent date, sends, opens, clicks, attribution window.
* Totals: engaged contacts, matched customers, customers who bought in the window, invoiced amount (by `currency-code` if there is more than one currency).
* A table of buying customers: customer number, name, email, clicked or opened, invoice count, invoiced amount, first invoice date.
* The number of engaged contacts with no Business Central customer.
State plainly that this is correlation within a time window, not proof the campaign caused the sale.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `constant-contact-get-campaign`, `constant-contact-get-campaign-click` and `constant-contact-get-campaign-open` are on the constant-contact server; `business-central-get-customer` and `business-central-get-posted-sales-invoice` are on the business-central server.
* Read-only. Do NOT call `constant-contact-add-contact`, `constant-contact-update-contact`, `business-central-create-sales-invoice`, `business-central-update-customer` or any other create, update or add tool.
* Pass `company` to Business Central tools only if the user names a company.
**Validation:**
* If nobody opened or clicked, report the send counts and stop.
* Compare emails ignoring case. Never match on name.
* Business Central dates are yyyy-MM-dd; convert the Constant Contact sent date to that format before filtering.Who it's for
