Plan vendor payment runs against the cash you really have
For finance teams who want a payment proposal with credits netted and cash checked, by asking their AI assistant.

Connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, pick your AI tool and paste the prompt.
The problem
Pay too much and overdraw, pay too little and pay late
Planning a payment run means listing invoices due, netting unapplied credits, holding blocked vendors and checking there is enough cash in the bank. Get it wrong and you either pay late or overdraw the account.
Without PopdockAI
- List open vendor invoices due by the pay date
- Net unapplied credits vendor by vendor
- Check which vendors are blocked
- Compare the total with the bank balance by hand
With PopdockAI
- Invoices due and unapplied credits are netted per vendor and currency
- Vendors blocked for payment are marked HOLD
- Totals are split into overdue and due and compared with cash
- A suggested order if cash is short, and nothing is paid or changed

**Objective:** Build a payment proposal for vendor invoices due on or before `{pay-by-date}` (default 14 days from today), netted against credits, and compare it with available cash.
Pass `{company}` as the company argument on every call. If `{company}` is empty, leave the company argument out so the connector's default company is used.
**Step 1: Invoices due**
Call `business-central-get-posted-purchase-invoice` with closed false and due-date.to set to `{pay-by-date}` (default today plus 14 days). Raise max-records to 1000.
**Step 2: Credits to net**
Call `business-central-get-posted-purchase-credit-memo` with paid false. Match credits to vendors by buy-from-vendor-number.
**Step 3: Vendor checks**
For each vendor in the list call `business-central-get-vendor` with vendor-number. Hold any vendor whose blocked is Payment or All. Note payment-method-code and currency-code.
**Step 4: Cash**
Call `business-central-get-bank-account` with blocked false. Note balance and minimum-balance per account and currency.
**Step 5: Report**
* Per vendor: vendor, invoices due (number, vendor invoice number, due date, remaining amount), credits to net, net to pay, payment method, and HOLD if blocked
* Total to pay per currency, split into overdue and due in the window
* Cash available per currency (balance minus minimum-balance) and the shortfall, if any
* If cash is short, a suggested order: overdue first, then by due-date
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* This prompt is read-only. Do not call any tool named business-central-create-* or business-central-update-*. Payments are made in Business Central; this prompt only proposes them.
* Never net a credit in one currency against an invoice in another.
**Validation:**
* If nothing is due in the window, say so and show the next five due invoices instead.Who it's for

Do we have enough cash in Business Central to pay all vendor invoices due in the next 10 days?
Controllers
Approve runs with credits already netted
Unapplied credits are netted per vendor and currency, so you approve what is really owed.
Show me the Business Central payment proposal for the next 14 days with credits netted and blocked vendors on hold.
How it works
What PopdockAI does when you ask
You give a pay by date and your AI assistant builds a payment proposal from Business Central. It only proposes payments, and nothing is paid or changed.
01
Ask
You give a pay-by date, 14 days ahead by default.
02
Read
It reads invoices due and unapplied credits, netting per vendor and currency.
03
Check
Blocked vendors are held and totals compared with cash over minimums.
04
Report
You get a proposal per vendor and an order if cash is short.
The outcome
Payment runs planned against real cash
