The problem

Every morning starts with sorting lists by hand

Every morning means opening several TickTick lists and sorting overdue and due tasks by hand to decide what comes first. Priorities get missed, and tasks already under way are treated like fresh ones.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open each list to find what is due
  • Sort overdue and due tasks by hand
  • Guess which tasks are already under way
  • Start on the wrong thing

With PopdockAI

  • Overdue tasks and tasks due that day are read
  • Tasks are ranked by priority, lateness and due time
  • Work in progress is flagged and sub-tasks grouped
  • Tasks to defer are suggested, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Build a ranked plan for {today}, optionally limited to the project {project-name}.

**Step 1: Pull overdue tasks**

Call `ticktick-get-tasks` with `due-date.to` set to the day before {today} and `status` set to open. If {project-name} is not empty, also pass `project-name`. Use a generous `max-records`.

**Step 2: Pull tasks due today**

Call `ticktick-get-tasks` with `due-date.from` and `due-date.to` both set to {today}, the same status and project filters.

**Step 3: Rank**

* Order by priority (highest first), then by how overdue the task is, then by due time.
* Flag tasks with `pomodoros` or `progress` already recorded as in progress.
* Flag sub-tasks (`parent-task-id` set) under their parent rather than as separate items.

**Step 4: Report**

A numbered plan: title, project, due date, priority, and one line on why it sits at that position. End with a short list of tasks to consider deferring.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* This prompt is read-only. Never call `ticktick-add-task`, `ticktick-update-task`, `ticktick-complete-task`, `ticktick-complete-multiple-tasks`, `ticktick-batch-tasks`, `ticktick-move-task`, `ticktick-assign-task`, `ticktick-unassign-task`, `ticktick-delete-task`, `ticktick-add-comment`, `ticktick-delete-comment`, `ticktick-add-project`, `ticktick-update-project`, `ticktick-delete-project`, `ticktick-add-column`, `ticktick-update-column`, `ticktick-add-project-group`, `ticktick-update-project-group`, `ticktick-delete-project-group`, `ticktick-add-tag`, `ticktick-add-focus-session` or `ticktick-delete-focus-session`.

**Validation:**

* If both reads return nothing, say there is nothing due and stop.
* If {today} is not a valid date, ask for it and stop.
