The problem

An hour of exports just to resend a campaign

Resending to people who did not open means exporting recipients, filtering out opens and bounces, importing them into a tag and copying the campaign. By hand it takes an hour and often includes people who bounced.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export the campaign recipient list
  • Filter out opens and bounces
  • Import the rest into a tag
  • Copy the campaign and set the audience

With PopdockAI

  • Every non opener is found, with bounces left out
  • You see the count and a sample before tagging
  • The tag size is reported after tagging
  • A draft copy only after a second yes, nothing sent

Prompt
**Objective:** Add every recipient who did not open the Mailchimp campaign `{campaign-title}` to the tag `{tag-name}`, then offer to copy the campaign as a draft so it can be resent to that tag.

**Step 1: Resolve the campaign**

Call `mailchimp-get-campaign` with `title`. If nothing matches, retry with `title.contains`. If more than one campaign matches, list them and stop. If its status is not `sent`, say so and stop. Keep the campaign-id and send-date.

**Step 2: Find the non-openers**

Call `mailchimp-get-campaign-recipient` with `campaign-id`, `status` set to `sent` and `open-count.max` set to 0, with `max-records` set to 5000. Bounced recipients are excluded by the status filter. Note the list-id they share.

**Step 3: Resolve the tag**

Call `mailchimp-get-segment` with `list-id` and `name` set to the tag name.

* If it does not exist, stop and ask the user to create the tag in Mailchimp first. No tool here can create one.
* If its type is not `static`, stop: members can only be added to a tag or static segment, not to a condition-based segment.

**Step 4: Confirm**

Tell the user how many contacts will be tagged, show 10 of them, and name the tag and audience. Mention that opens are under-reported by privacy features in some mail apps, so some people on this list did read the email. Ask the user to confirm and wait for the answer.

**Step 5: Tag**

Only after the user confirms, call `mailchimp-add-segment-member` once per contact with `segment-id`, `list-id` and `email-address`. Count successes and failures. If 5 calls in a row fail, stop and report the error.

**Step 6: Verify and offer the follow-up**

Call `mailchimp-get-segment` with `segment-id` and report the new member-count. Then ask whether to create a draft copy of the campaign. Only if the user says yes, call `mailchimp-replicate-campaign` once with the campaign-id. Nothing is sent. Tell the user to set the draft's recipients to the tag and change the subject line in Mailchimp before sending.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* The only write tools allowed are `mailchimp-add-segment-member` and, after a second confirmation, `mailchimp-replicate-campaign`.
* Do not call `mailchimp-update-list-member` or change anyone's subscription status.
* If more than 1000 contacts would be tagged, ask the user to confirm the number explicitly.

**Validation:**

* If there are no non-openers, say so and stop.
* If exactly 5000 recipients come back, say the list may be incomplete before tagging.
