The problem

Loading a Drip series by hand invites repeats and silent sends

Sales builds a Salesforce campaign and someone exports the members to add them to a Drip email series by hand. People already on the series get re-added, unsubscribed people get emailed, or everyone lands in a paused series and nothing goes out.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export the Salesforce campaign members
  • Check each person against the Drip campaign one by one
  • Miss who unsubscribed in Drip
  • Find out later the series was paused

With PopdockAI

  • People with no email or already enrolled are dropped for you
  • Anyone unsubscribed in Drip is kept out
  • A paused campaign or double opt-in is flagged before you start
  • Nobody is added until you confirm

Prompt
**Objective:** Add every member of the Salesforce campaign `{salesforce-campaign-name}` to the Drip campaign `{drip-campaign-name}`, skipping people already on it and people unsubscribed in Drip.

**Step 1: Salesforce members**

Call `salesforce-get-campaign-member` with `campaign-name` set to `{salesforce-campaign-name}`. If more than one campaign matches or none does, list what was found and stop. Keep `email` and `name`; drop members with no email and count them.

**Step 2: Find the Drip campaign**

Call `drip-get-campaign` with `name` set to `{drip-campaign-name}`. It must match exactly one campaign; otherwise list the matches and stop. Note `campaign-id`, `status` and `double-opt-in-enabled`.

**Step 3: Remove people Drip should not receive**

* Call `drip-get-campaign-subscriber` with `campaign-id` set to that `campaign-id` and drop everyone already on it.
* For each remaining email, call `drip-get-subscriber` with `email` set to it. Drop anyone whose `status` is unsubscribed.

**Step 4: Plan and confirm**

Show the user: the Drip campaign and its status, whether double opt-in is on (if so, people get a confirmation email first), and the list of emails to add. Ask the user to confirm. Do not add anyone until they say yes.

**Step 5: Add**

For each confirmed email, call `drip-add-subscriber-to-campaign` with `campaign_id` set to the `campaign-id` and `email` set to the member's email.

**Step 6: Report**

Counts for added, already on the campaign, unsubscribed in Drip, no email in Salesforce, and failed, with the failures listed.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `salesforce-get-campaign-member` is on the Salesforce server; every drip- tool here is on the Drip server.
* `drip-add-subscriber-to-campaign` is the only tool that may write, and only after confirmation in Step 4. Never add an unsubscribed person. Do NOT call `drip-update-subscriber`, `drip-activate-campaign` or `salesforce-update-campaign`.

**Validation:**

* Compare emails case-insensitively.
* If the Drip campaign is not active, warn that added people will not receive email until it is activated, and still ask before adding.
