The problem

Email stats and campaign results never sit side by side

The email lives in Constant Contact while members, responses and won deals live in Salesforce. Judging whether the email drove the result means pulling both reports and working out how much the audiences overlap.

Without PopdockAI

  • Pull the email report from Constant Contact
  • Pull members and opportunities from Salesforce
  • Match clickers to campaign members by hand
  • Guess whether the email made a difference

With PopdockAI

  • Sends, opens, clicks and opt-outs sit next to Salesforce results
  • Clickers are matched to campaign members
  • Rates and cost per response are worked out for you
  • A tiny overlap is called out, and nothing changes

Prompt
**Objective:** Compare the email performance of the Constant Contact campaign `{campaign-name}` with the results of the Salesforce campaign `{salesforce-campaign-name}` (default: the same name).

**Step 1: Read the email campaign in Constant Contact**

Call `constant-contact-get-campaign` with `name.contains` = `{campaign-name}`. If more than one matches, list them and stop so the user can choose. Take `sends`, `opens`, `clicks`, `bounces`, `opt-outs`, `forwards` and `last-sent-date`.

**Step 2: Read the Salesforce campaign**

Call `salesforce-get-campaign` with `name.contains` set to `{salesforce-campaign-name}`, or to `{campaign-name}` if that is blank. If more than one matches, list them and stop. If none match, report the Constant Contact metrics alone and say no Salesforce campaign was found. Take `leads`, `responses`, `opportunities`, `won-opportunities-value`, `actual-cost` and `budgeted-cost`.

**Step 3: Check the audiences overlap**

Call `salesforce-get-campaign-member` with `campaign-name` = the Salesforce campaign's name and keep distinct `email` values. Call `constant-contact-get-campaign-click` with the Constant Contact `campaign-id` and keep distinct `email-address` values. Count how many clickers are Salesforce campaign members, and how many Salesforce members who responded did not click.

**Step 4: Report**

* A metrics table with one column per system: sends, opens and open rate, clicks and click rate, bounces, opt-outs (Constant Contact); members, responses, opportunities, won value, actual cost (Salesforce).
* Overlap: clickers who are members, clickers who are not, responders who did not click.
* Two or three sentences on whether the email drove the Salesforce result, and the cost per response if actual cost is set.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Tools named `constant-contact-*` are on the constant-contact server; tools named `salesforce-*` are on the salesforce server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `salesforce-update-campaign`, `constant-contact-update-campaign`, `constant-contact-resend-campaign-to-non-openers` or any other add or update tool.

**Validation:**

* Compare email addresses case-insensitively and ignore surrounding spaces.
* Compute rates against sends, and say so. If sends is zero, report the rates as not applicable.
* If the overlap is tiny, say the two campaigns may not target the same audience rather than drawing conclusions.
