The problem
Store prices quietly drift away from Business Central
Prices set in Dynamics 365 Business Central and prices shown in Shopify drift apart as products are added and repriced. Finding mismatches means matching SKUs to item numbers row by row, and variants with no SKU slip through.
Without PopdockAI
- Export Shopify variants and Business Central items
- Match SKUs to item numbers in a spreadsheet
- Compare prices row by row
- Miss variants with no SKU or no matching item
With PopdockAI
- Shopify variants are matched to Business Central items by SKU or barcode
- Differences beyond your tolerance are listed largest first
- Missing, blocked and near-match items are called out
- Neither the store nor Business Central is edited

**Objective:** Compare the selling price of Shopify product variants with the unit price of the matching Business Central items and report every mismatch larger than `{price-tolerance}` (default 0). Limit the check to SKU `{sku}` when it is given; otherwise check every variant.
**Step 1: Read the Shopify variants**
Call `shopify-get-product-variant` with `sku` set to `{sku}` when it is given, otherwise with `max-records` 250. Keep `sku`, `title`, `product-id`, `price` and `barcode`. Skip variants with an empty SKU and count them.
**Step 2: Find each variant in Business Central**
For each variant, call `business-central-get-item` with `item-number` set to the Shopify `sku`. If nothing comes back and the variant has a `barcode`, call `business-central-get-item` again with `gtin` set to the barcode. Keep `item-number`, `description`, `unit-price` and `blocked`.
If neither lookup finds an item, record the variant as present in Shopify and missing from Business Central, and continue.
**Step 3: Compare**
Compare the Shopify `price` with the Business Central `unit-price` as numbers, rounded to 2 decimals. A difference whose absolute value is greater than `{price-tolerance}` (default 0) is a mismatch.
**Step 4: Report**
A table of mismatches with: SKU, Shopify product and variant title, Shopify price, Business Central item number, Business Central unit price, difference (Shopify minus Business Central). Sort by the size of the difference, largest first.
Then list separately: variants with no Business Central item, variants with no SKU (count only), and matched items that are blocked in Business Central.
End with totals: variants checked, matched, mismatched, missing from Business Central.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `shopify-get-product-variant` is on the shopify server. `business-central-get-item` is on the business-central server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `business-central-update-item`, `shopify-update-product` or any other create, add or update tool on either server.
* If the user names a Business Central company, pass it as `company` on every Business Central call.
**Validation:**
* If Shopify returns no variants, report that and stop.
* Match SKU to item number exactly as stored, with no case folding. If an exact match fails but the same value in a different case exists, report it as a probable match to fix, not as a match.
* Shopify prices are in the shop currency and Business Central unit prices are in the company's local currency. If the user says the two currencies differ, report the figures without flagging mismatches and say why.Who it's for
