Set up a Bloomerang sponsor as a Business Central customer once
For finance teams who need to invoice a sponsor without rekeying details or creating a duplicate customer, by asking their AI assistant.

Connector
Connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, pick your AI tool and paste the prompt.
The problem
Invoicing a sponsor starts with retyping their donor record
When a sponsor needs an invoice, someone has to set them up as a Business Central customer using details already in Bloomerang. Rekeying invites typos, and it is easy to create a second customer for an organization that already exists.
Without PopdockAI
- Copy the name, email, phone and address from Bloomerang
- Search Business Central and hope the spelling matches
- Create a second customer for the same sponsor
- Leave no link between the two records
With PopdockAI
- The organization is read with its primary address and phone
- Business Central is searched by email and by name
- No customer is created when a likely match exists
- After you confirm, a note with the customer number goes on the Bloomerang record

**Objective:** Make sure the Bloomerang organization `{organization}` has a Business Central customer in company `{company}` (blank means the connector's default company), creating one from its Bloomerang details if it is missing, and record the link on the Bloomerang record.
**Step 1: Find the organization (Bloomerang)**
Call `bloomerang-get-constituent` with `full-name.contains` = `{organization}` and `type` = Organization. If more than one matches, list them and stop. If none match, say so and stop.
Then call `bloomerang-get-address` with `account-id` = the constituent `id` and `primary` = true, and `bloomerang-get-phone` with the same filters.
**Step 2: Check for an existing customer (Business Central)**
Call `business-central-get-customer` with `email` = the constituent's `primary-email`, and again with `name.contains` = `{organization}`. Pass `{company}` as `company` on every Business Central call; omit it when blank. If either returns a customer, report its number and name, skip Steps 3 and 4, and go straight to Step 5 only if the user asks for the link to be recorded.
**Step 3: Show the plan and wait**
Show the customer that would be created: display name (the constituent's `full-name`), type Company, email, phone, address line 1, city, state, postal code and country. Ask the user to confirm and to give a customer number if they do not want Business Central to assign one. Do not write anything until they confirm in their next message.
**Step 4: Create the customer (Business Central)**
After confirmation, call `business-central-create-customer` once with those values, plus `number` only if the user gave one. Keep the returned `number`.
**Step 5: Record the link (Bloomerang)**
Call `bloomerang-add-note` with `account-id` = the constituent `id`, today's date as `date`, and `note` = `Business Central customer <number> (company {company})`.
**Step 6: Confirm**
Call `business-central-get-customer` with `customer-number` = the new number and report it next to the Bloomerang constituent.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `bloomerang-get-constituent`, `bloomerang-get-address`, `bloomerang-get-phone` and `bloomerang-add-note` are on the bloomerang server. `business-central-get-customer` and `business-central-create-customer` are on the business-central server.
* The only write tools this prompt may call are `business-central-create-customer` (once, after confirmation) and `bloomerang-add-note` (once).
* Do NOT call `business-central-update-customer`, `business-central-create-contact`, `bloomerang-update-constituent` or any other write tool.
**Validation:**
* Never create a customer when Step 2 found a likely match. Ask the user instead.
* If the constituent has no address or email, create the customer with what exists and list the missing fields.
* If `business-central-create-customer` fails, report the error and do not add the Bloomerang note.Who it's for

How it works
What PopdockAI does when you ask

01
Ask
You name the Bloomerang organization, and optionally a company.
02
Check
It reads its address and phone and searches Business Central by email and name.
03
Confirm
You see the customer it would create and say yes.
04
Create
It creates the customer, notes the number in Bloomerang and reads it back.
