The problem

Did the appeal bring in gifts? Nobody checks

After a Mailchimp appeal goes out, opens and clicks sit in Mailchimp and gifts sit in DonorPerfect. Matching recipients to donors and checking gift dates by hand is tedious and usually skipped.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export openers and clickers from Mailchimp
  • Search DonorPerfect for each email
  • Filter gifts to the days after the send
  • Count pledges as cash by mistake

With PopdockAI

  • Everyone who opened or clicked is collected
  • Each email is matched to a donor or additional address
  • Gifts and pledge payments in the window are totalled
  • Framed as correlation, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Estimate the giving that followed the Mailchimp campaign `{campaign-title}`: gifts recorded in DonorPerfect by recipients who opened or clicked it, within `{attribution-days}` days (default 14) of its send date.

**Step 1: Find the campaign**

Call `mailchimp-get-report` with `campaign-title.contains` set to `{campaign-title}`. If more than one campaign matches, list them (title, send date, emails sent) and stop. Note `campaign-id`, `send-date`, `emails-sent`, `unique-opens` and `click-rate`.

**Step 2: Collect the engaged recipients**

Call `mailchimp-get-campaign-open` with that `campaign-id`, and `mailchimp-get-campaign-email-activity` with that `campaign-id` and `action` set to click. Build one de-duplicated set of email addresses, remembering for each whether they opened only or clicked.

**Step 3: Match to donors**

For each email, call `donorperfect-get-donor` with `email`. If nothing comes back, try `donorperfect-get-address` with `email` and take its `donor-id`. Emails with no donor go in a separate unmatched count.

**Step 4: Read the gifts in the window**

For each matched donor, call `donorperfect-get-gift` with `donor-id`, `gift-date.from` set to the send date and `gift-date.to` set to the send date plus `{attribution-days}` days. Ignore pledge headers when summing (count gifts and pledge payments, not the pledge total).

**Step 5: Report**

Headline: campaign title, send date, emails sent, engaged recipients, matched donors, donors who gave, total amount given. Then a table of givers (donor id, name, email, opened or clicked, gift date, amount, campaign code) sorted by amount. Split the totals between clickers and open-only.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `mailchimp-get-report`, `mailchimp-get-campaign-open` and `mailchimp-get-campaign-email-activity` are on the mailchimp server. `donorperfect-get-donor`, `donorperfect-get-address` and `donorperfect-get-gift` are on the donorperfect server.
* This is read-only. Do NOT call `donorperfect-save-gift`, `donorperfect-save-contact` or any Mailchimp action tool.
* Say clearly that this is correlation within a time window, not proof the email caused the gift. The DonorPerfect campaign code on the gift is shown for context, not used as a join.

**Validation:**

* If the campaign has not been sent yet (no send date), say so and stop.
* If no engaged recipient matches a donor, report the unmatched count and stop.
