The problem

Email series run empty or stall with people inside

A Drip email series can keep running with nobody in it or sit paused while subscribers wait mid-sequence. Checking each campaign's status against its counts is tedious, so stale drafts and high churn go unnoticed.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open each campaign and check its status
  • Compare status with subscriber counts
  • Work out unsubscribe rates by hand
  • Miss the people stuck in paused series

With PopdockAI

  • Every matching email series is classed by health
  • High churn and stale drafts are flagged
  • A sample of people stuck in paused series is shown
  • One recommendation per problem campaign, nothing changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Review the health of the Drip email series campaigns, optionally limited to names containing `{name-contains}`, and recommend which to fix, restart or retire.

**Step 1: Pull campaigns**

Call `drip-get-campaign` with `max-records` = 200, and `name.contains` = `{name-contains}` only if given.

**Step 2: Classify each campaign**

* **Running:** status active with active subscribers
* **Empty but running:** status active with 0 active subscribers (sending to no one)
* **Paused with audience:** status paused with active subscribers (people stuck mid-series)
* **Stale draft:** status draft and created more than 90 days ago
* **High churn:** unsubscribed count above 20 percent of active subscribers

Also note campaigns with double opt-in disabled and campaigns whose from email differs from the majority.

**Step 3: Sample the audience of problem campaigns**

For every campaign in **Paused with audience**, call `drip-get-campaign-subscriber` with `campaign-id` set to its campaign-id and `max-records` = 10 to show who is stuck.

**Step 4: Report**

A table of all campaigns: name, campaign-id, status, active subscribers, unsubscribed, emails, created date, classification. Then a **Recommendations** list, one line per problem campaign.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Read-only. Do NOT call `drip-activate-campaign`, `drip-pause-campaign`, `drip-remove-subscriber-from-campaign` or `drip-remove-subscriber-from-all-campaigns`. To act on a recommendation, the user runs `change-automation-status`.

**Validation:**

* If no campaigns are returned, say so and stop.

Who it's for

One answer, three teams that use it

Email marketers

Find series that need attention

Each campaign is classed as running, empty, paused with people, stale or high churn, with a recommendation.

Which of our Drip email series are paused with subscribers still in them?

Lifecycle marketers

Spot series losing people to unsubscribes

Campaigns where unsubscribes pass 20 percent of active subscribers are flagged for review.

Review our Drip onboarding campaigns and flag any with high unsubscribe churn.

Marketing operations

Tidy up old drafts and settings

Stale drafts, double opt-in off and odd senders are noted so the account stays consistent.

Check Drip campaigns with Nurture in the name for stale drafts and sender differences.
