Make sure every vendor you owe exists in Business Central
For finance teams who want migrated vendors compared between Dynamics GP and Business Central before payables cutover, by asking their AI assistant.

The problem
A missing vendor can stop payments on day one
A vendor missing or set up differently in Business Central after a Dynamics GP migration can stop payments the first day live. Checking every vendor is slow, and a missing vendor with an open balance is easy to overlook.
Without PopdockAI
- Export vendors from both systems
- Compare names, terms and holds one by one
- Strip formatting from phone numbers
- Overlook the missing vendor you still owe money
With PopdockAI
- Inactive and temporary vendors are ignored
- Names, terms, holds against blocks and contacts are compared
- Missing vendors are listed with their GP balance
- Vendors created after go-live are shown apart, with nothing changed

**Objective:** Confirm that Dynamics GP vendors were migrated to Business Central with matching master data, for vendor `{vendor-id}` or, if that is empty, every active GP vendor.
**Step 1: Read the GP vendors**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-pm-vendor`, with `vendor-id` set to `{vendor-id}` when it is given. Use a `max-records` large enough for the whole vendor list (for example 5000), and leave out vendors whose vendor-status is Inactive or Temporary. If exactly `max-records` rows come back, say the list may be truncated.
**Step 2: Read the BC vendors**
Call `business-central-get-vendor`, with `vendor-number` set to `{vendor-id}` when it is given, otherwise for the full list.
Match GP `vendor-id` to BC `vendor-number`, trimmed and case-insensitive.
**Step 3: Compare each matched pair**
* vendor-name vs name
* payment-terms-id vs payment-terms-code
* hold = true in GP vs a non-blank blocked value in BC
* vendor-contact vs contact
* city and state
* primary-email-address vs email
* phone-number-1 vs phone-number, comparing digits only
**Step 4: Report**
Start with counts: matched with no differences, matched with differences, in GP but missing from BC, in BC with no GP match. Then a table of the differences (vendor, field, GP value, BC value). List the missing vendors separately, with each one's GP current-balance, because a missing vendor with an open balance is a blocker for the payables cutover. List the BC-only vendors last as probably created after go-live.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `dynamics-gp-get-pm-vendor` is on the dynamics-gp server. `business-central-get-vendor` is on the business-central server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `business-central-create-vendor`, `business-central-update-vendor`, `dynamics-gp-pm-vendor-add` or `dynamics-gp-pm-vendor-update`.
* If either system has more than one company, ask the user which GP company and which BC company to use before the first call, and pass them as `company`.
**Validation:**
* If GP returns no vendors, stop and ask the user to confirm the GP company. If BC returns none, report that the vendor migration has not run yet.
* When a whole set of vendors differs the same way on payment terms, report the pairing once as a mapping.
* Treat a difference in case or surrounding spaces only as a match.Who it's for
