The problem

You cannot see what someone carries before adding more

Before handing someone more Jira work, a lead wants to know what they already carry across every project. That means filtering by assignee, adding story points, spotting overdue items and still missing what they are waiting on.

Without PopdockAI

  • Filter Jira by assignee across projects
  • Add up story points by hand
  • Spot overdue and forgotten items
  • Miss what they raised and are waiting on

With PopdockAI

  • Open assigned issues across projects are listed with points
  • Past due and untouched for two weeks are totalled
  • Issues they raised that are still open and their teams are added
  • A verdict suggests what to move, and nothing is reassigned

Prompt
**Objective:** Review the open Jira workload of `{person}`, given as a display name or an email address, and say whether it is manageable.

**Step 1: Identify the person**

Call `jira-get-user` with email set to {person} if it looks like an email address, otherwise with name.contains set to {person}. Keep name, email, user-account-id and active. If more than one user matches, list them with their email and stop. If the user is not active, say so and continue.

**Step 2: Find their work**

Call `jira-get-issue` with assignee.contains set to the display name from Step 1 and max-records set to 200. If {project-name} is supplied, resolve it with `jira-get-project` first and also pass project-key.

**Step 3: Find what they raised**

Call `jira-get-issue` with reporter.contains set to the same display name, to show what they are waiting on rather than doing.

**Step 4: Team context**

Call `jira-get-team-member` with name.contains set to the display name to see which teams they belong to. If it returns nothing, skip this from the report.

**Step 5: Report**

* one line: name, email, active or inactive, teams
* **Assigned and open** - a table of issue-key, project-key, summary, status, due-date, story-points, excluding Done, Closed, Resolved and Cancelled
* **Totals** - count of open issues, sum of story-points where present, count past due-date, count untouched for over 14 days
* **Raised by them and still open** - count and the three oldest
* a two sentence verdict on whether the load looks heavy, and which issues to move first if it does

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Read only. Do NOT call `jira-assign-issue` to rebalance anything, recommend it instead.
* Match on the display name returned by `jira-get-user`, not on the raw input, the assignee field holds display names.
* Do not compare people. This is one person's load.

**Validation:**

* If `jira-get-user` returns nothing, say the user was not found and stop.
* If they have no open assigned issues, say so plainly and still report what they raised.
