The problem

A mistyped IBAN sends payments to the wrong place

Adding a bank account means making sure the account number or IBAN is not already set up and that the IBAN is valid. A duplicate or mistyped account causes reconciliation headaches and misdirected payments.

Without PopdockAI

  • Search bank accounts by name and number
  • Compare IBANs by eye
  • Type the IBAN and hope it is right
  • Untangle a duplicate during reconciliation

With PopdockAI

  • Existing accounts are searched by name, number and IBAN
  • An exact match stops the setup
  • The IBAN is checked for a country prefix and check digits
  • You preview it, then one account is created with a setup reminder

Prompt
**Objective:** Create the bank account `{bank-account-name}` with the details in `{details}`.

Pass `{company}` as the company argument on every call. If `{company}` is empty, leave the company argument out so the connector's default company is used.

**Step 1: Duplicate check**

Call `business-central-get-bank-account` with name.contains set to `{bank-account-name}`. If `{details}` gives an account number, call it with bank-account-number set to it. Compare iban on the results with any IBAN given. Stop on an exact account number or IBAN match.

**Step 2: Collect the fields**

From `{details}` take number, bank-account-number, iban and currency-code. Check the IBAN has a two-letter country prefix and two check digits.

**Step 3: Preview and confirm**

Show the record. Ask for confirmation.

**Step 4: Create**

After confirmation call `business-central-create-bank-account` once. A correction straight away uses `business-central-update-bank-account` with the id it returned; existing bank accounts cannot be updated through these tools because no read returns their id.

**Step 5: Confirm the result**

Re-read with `business-central-get-bank-account` and report the new account number. Remind the user that posting groups and bank reconciliation are set up in Business Central.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call any create or update tool until the user has confirmed the exact values shown in the preview.
* Create at most one bank account.

**Validation:**

* If neither an account number nor an IBAN is given, ask.
