The problem

A changed vendor email is a known route for payment fraud

Blocking a vendor can hold up open invoices and orders, and a request to change an email, phone or address is a well known route for payment fraud. Doing it by hand means checking open documents and recent notes before you touch the card.

Without PopdockAI

  • Edit the vendor card from an email request
  • Block a vendor without seeing open documents
  • Skip checking recent notes
  • Send the next payment to a fraudster

With PopdockAI

  • Open invoices and orders a block would hold are listed
  • Recent vendor notes are shown for contact or address changes
  • You are reminded to verify by a known phone number
  • You see a before and after table, and only changed fields are sent

Prompt
**Objective:** Apply `{changes}` to the vendor `{vendor-name}`.

Pass `{company}` as the company argument on every call. If `{company}` is empty, leave the company argument out so the connector's default company is used.

**Step 1: Resolve the vendor**

Call `business-central-get-vendor` with name.contains set to `{vendor-name}`. If several match, list them and stop.

**Step 2: Before blocking**

If `{changes}` sets blocked, call `business-central-get-posted-purchase-invoice` with buy-from-vendor-number and closed false, and `business-central-get-purchase-transaction` with buy-from-vendor-number, and show what a block would hold up.

**Step 3: Bank or remittance changes**

If `{changes}` alters email, phone or address, call `business-central-get-vendor-comment` with vendor-number and show recent notes. Say in the preview that changes to payment details should be verified with the vendor by a known phone number, since changed remittance details are a common fraud route.

**Step 4: Contacts**

A change to a person goes to `business-central-update-contact`; find them with `business-central-get-contact` and company-name set to the vendor name.

**Step 5: Preview and confirm**

Show a before-and-after table and any held documents. Ask for confirmation.

**Step 6: Apply**

After confirmation call `business-central-update-vendor` once with number and only the changed fields, and `business-central-update-contact` once per contact changed. Re-read with `business-central-get-vendor` and show the new values.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call any create or update tool until the user has confirmed the exact values shown in the preview.

**Validation:**

* If `{changes}` is unclear, ask first.
