The problem

Spreadsheet repricing lets below cost prices slip through

Repricing items usually means exporting to a spreadsheet, working out each new price and typing them back one by one. It is easy to price below cost, make a far bigger change than intended or forget open quotes keep their old prices.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export items to a spreadsheet
  • Work out each new price by formula
  • Type prices back one by one
  • Price something below cost by mistake

With PopdockAI

  • New prices are computed from your rule and rounded
  • Blocked items are left out and named
  • Prices under cost and changes over 25 percent are flagged
  • You review and drop rows, then only unit prices change and are read back

Prompt
**Objective:** Change the unit price of the items selected by `{items}` according to `{price-rule}`.

Pass `{company}` as the company argument on every call. If `{company}` is empty, leave the company argument out so the connector's default company is used.

**Step 1: Select the items**

`{items}` is a list of item numbers, an item category code, or a vendor name. Use `business-central-get-item` with item-number, item-category-code, or vendor-number (resolve a vendor name with `business-central-get-vendor` first). Leave out blocked items and say so.

**Step 2: Compute new prices**

Apply `{price-rule}`: a percentage change ("+5%"), a fixed price, or a target margin over cost ("40% margin" means price = cost / 0.6). Use unit-cost as cost, or last-direct-cost when unit-cost is 0. Round to 2 decimals.

**Step 3: Check**

Flag any new price below cost, and any change larger than 25% either way.

**Step 4: Preview and confirm**

Show a table: item, description, cost, current price, new price, change %, and flags. Ask for confirmation, and let the user drop rows.

**Step 5: Apply**

After confirmation call `business-central-update-item` once per item with number and unit-price only.

**Step 6: Confirm the result**

Re-read the items with `business-central-get-item` and report how many changed and any that failed.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call any create or update tool until the user has confirmed the exact values shown in the preview.
* Change unit-price only. Do not change costs, type or blocked here.
* Open quotes and orders keep their old prices; say so.

**Validation:**

* If more than 200 items are selected, ask the user to narrow the selection.
