The problem

New shoppers never reach Constant Contact

New WooCommerce shoppers do not appear in Constant Contact unless someone exports and imports them. Doing it by hand means comparing two lists by email, skipping people already there and remembering whether each shopper agreed to marketing email.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export recent customers from WooCommerce
  • Compare emails with Constant Contact by hand
  • Import the missing ones to the right list
  • Guess whether each shopper gave consent

With PopdockAI

  • Recent customers are read and checked by email
  • The list you name must match exactly one existing list
  • You confirm and say whether shoppers consented
  • Duplicates are created once, and WooCommerce is not touched

The prompt

Prompt
**Objective:** Find WooCommerce customers created in the last `{lookback-days}` days (default 30) who have no Constant Contact contact, and after the user confirms, create them in Constant Contact, adding them to the list `{list-name}` if one is given.

**Step 1: Read the WooCommerce customers**

Call `woocommerce-get-customer` with `created-date.from` = today minus the lookback, `max-records` 500. Keep `email`, `first-name`, `last-name`, `billing-phone`, `billing-company`. Skip rows with no email.

**Step 2: Check each one in Constant Contact**

For each customer, call `constant-contact-get-contact` with `email-address` = their email. Sort the customers into "already in Constant Contact" and "missing".

**Step 3: Resolve the target list (optional)**

If `{list-name}` is given, call `constant-contact-get-contact-list` with `name` = `{list-name}`. If it does not match exactly one list, show the closest matches from `name.contains` and stop. Do not create a list.

**Step 4: Confirm**

Show the count already present, then a table of the missing customers (email, name, company). Ask the user to confirm before creating anything, and ask whether these customers have agreed to receive marketing email. Do not proceed without a yes.

**Step 5: Create the missing contacts**

For each confirmed customer, call `constant-contact-add-contact` with `email`, `first-name`, `last-name`, `phone` (from `billing-phone`), `company-name` (from `billing-company`) and `list-id` from Step 3 if any. Set `permission-to-send` only if the user said these customers consented; otherwise leave it out.

**Step 6: Report**

Created, skipped as already present, and failed (with the error), each as a count, followed by the failures.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Tools whose names start with woocommerce- are on the woocommerce MCP server; tools whose names start with constant-contact- are on the constant-contact MCP server. If a tool from either server is missing, stop and tell the user that both servers must be connected.
* Match records by email address only: WooCommerce `email` / `customer-email` against Constant Contact `email-address`. Trim and lower-case both sides before comparing. Never match on name alone.
* The only write this prompt may make is `constant-contact-add-contact`, and only after the user has confirmed. Do NOT call any other write tool. On Constant Contact that means none of `constant-contact-update-contact`, `constant-contact-add-contact-note`, `constant-contact-add-contact-list`, `constant-contact-update-contact-list`, `constant-contact-add-contact-tag`, `constant-contact-update-contact-tag`, `constant-contact-add-campaign`, `constant-contact-update-campaign`, `constant-contact-resend-campaign-to-non-openers`. On WooCommerce that means none of `woocommerce-add-coupon`, `woocommerce-update-coupon`, `woocommerce-add-order`, `woocommerce-update-order`, `woocommerce-add-order-note`, `woocommerce-add-refund`, `woocommerce-add-customer`, `woocommerce-update-customer`, `woocommerce-add-product`, `woocommerce-update-product`, `woocommerce-update-product-variation`, `woocommerce-send-order-details`.
* Never write to WooCommerce from this prompt.

**Validation:**

* Two WooCommerce customers with the same email are one contact; create it once.
* If `constant-contact-add-contact` fails because the email already exists, count it as already present, not as a failure.
* If no customers are missing, say so and stop after Step 2.

Who it's for

One answer, three teams that use it

Email marketers

Keep your contacts current

Add new shoppers to Constant Contact without an export, with existing contacts left as they are.

Add WooCommerce shoppers from the last 60 days who are not in Constant Contact to the Customers list.

Store owners

Record consent properly

You are asked whether shoppers agreed to marketing, and permission to send is set only when you say yes.

Find new WooCommerce customers missing from Constant Contact this month. They did not opt in, so do not set permission.

Marketing coordinators

Avoid duplicate contacts

Each missing email is created once, even when a shopper appears twice, so the account stays clean.

Which WooCommerce customers from the last 30 days are not in Constant Contact yet?
