The problem

Bitly reports a campaign one link at a time

A campaign is often dozens of Bitly links sharing a tag, and Bitly reports them one at a time. Building the campaign view means exporting each link and totalling clicks in a sheet, hoping a similar tag did not sneak in.

Without PopdockAI

  • Filter links by tag in Bitly
  • Export clicks for each link
  • Total and rank them in a spreadsheet
  • Accidentally include a similar tag

With PopdockAI

  • Every link carrying exactly that tag is gathered
  • Clicks are totalled per link and per day
  • Referrers, countries and devices are rolled up across the campaign
  • Underperformers get a suggestion, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Report how the campaign tagged `{tag}` performed between `{date-from}` and `{date-to}` (default: the last 30 days ending today).

**Step 1: Find the campaign's links**

Call `bitly-get-bitlink` with `tags.contains` set to `{tag}`. Tag matching is a contains match, so drop any bitlink whose `tags` list does not contain `{tag}` as a whole tag. If none remain, stop and say so.

**Step 2: Clicks per link**

Call `bitly-get-click-day` with `tags.contains` set to `{tag}` and `date.from` / `date.to` set to the window. Sum `clicks` per `link` and per `date`. Links with no rows had zero clicks in the window.

**Step 3: Audience and sources**

Call `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-referrer`, `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-country` and `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-device`, each with `tags.contains` set to `{tag}`. Aggregate across the campaign's links (same whole-tag check as Step 1).

**Step 4: Report**

* Campaign total clicks in the window, number of links, number with zero clicks
* Table of links ranked by clicks: link, title, clicks, share of campaign total
* Daily clicks trend in one or two sentences (launch spike, decay, steady)
* Top 5 referrers, top 5 countries and device split for the campaign as a whole
* Underperformers: links with zero or under 5% of the campaign's clicks, with a suggestion for each (check placement, retire, or merge)

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call `bitly-add-bitlink` or `bitly-update-bitlink`. This prompt is read-only.
* The referrer, domain, country, city and device breakdown tools are not date-filtered; they return the totals Bitly holds for each link. Say so in the report rather than presenting them as figures for the requested period.
* Use whole-tag matches only. A tag of `q4` must not pull in `q4-retail` unless the user asked for it.

**Validation:**

* If `{date-from}` is later than `{date-to}`, say so and stop.
* If more than 200 links carry the tag, say the report covers the top 200 by clicks and raise `max-records` only if the user asks.
