The problem

Sizing one market means several Bitly breakdowns

Planning for a regional market means knowing how much link traffic comes from that country, which links it clicks and which cities it is in. In Bitly that is several separate breakdowns, and country names and codes do not always match.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open the country breakdown for the group
  • Work out the country's share and rank
  • Check each link's country and city split
  • Guess whether UK and GB are the same

With PopdockAI

  • The country code or name is matched to how Bitly stores it
  • Share and rank among all countries are worked out
  • Top links, cities and the mix for the top three links are listed
  • Links drawing unusually from the country are flagged, nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Report on the audience from `{country}` for `{group-name}` (default: all groups): which links they click, which cities they are in, and how much of total traffic they make up.

**Step 1: Country share**

Call `bitly-get-metric-group-country` (with `group-name` when given) without a country filter. Work out the clicks and share of total for `{country}`, and its rank among countries. If `{country}` matches no row exactly, compare against the returned values (a code vs a name, e.g. `GB` vs `United Kingdom`), use the matching value from then on, and say which one you used.

**Step 2: Top links in the country**

Call `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-country` with `country` and `group-name`. Rank links by clicks.

**Step 3: Cities**

Call `bitly-get-metric-group-city` with `country` and `group-name` for the city ranking, and `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-city` with `country` and `link` for the top 3 links' city splits.

**Step 4: Devices and sources for the top links**

For the top 3 links from Step 2, call `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-device` and `bitly-get-metric-bitlink-referrer` filtered by `link`. These are not country-specific; say so.

**Step 5: Report**

* `{country}`: total clicks, share of all clicks, rank among countries
* Top 10 links for that country: link, title, clicks
* Top 10 cities with region
* For the top 3 links: city split, device split and top referrers
* Links that over-index (a far higher share of their clicks from `{country}` than the group average), which suggests a local placement worth repeating

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call `bitly-add-bitlink` or `bitly-update-bitlink`. This prompt is read-only.
* The referrer, domain, country, city and device breakdown tools are not date-filtered; they return the totals Bitly holds for each link. Say so in the report rather than presenting them as figures for the requested period.

**Validation:**

* If `{country}` has no clicks, say so, give the top 5 countries instead, and stop.
