The problem

A yearly roll-up across groups is out of date before the meeting

Teams and brands live in separate Bitly groups, and comparing them for a year means pulling monthly clicks, top links and audience breakdowns group by group. The roll-up is slow and out of date before the meeting.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open each Bitly group in turn
  • Export monthly clicks and top links
  • Pull audience breakdowns separately
  • Build a comparison slide by hand

With PopdockAI

  • The group is resolved and its active status noted
  • Total clicks, best and worst months and direction are reported
  • Top ten links and the audience mix are listed
  • Several groups get a side-by-side comparison, nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Give an overview of the traffic for the Bitly group `{group-name}` in `{year}` (default: the current year). If `{group-name}` is empty, cover every active group.

**Step 1: Resolve the group**

Call `bitly-get-group` with `name` set to `{group-name}` (or `active` = true when no name was given). If no group matches the exact name, retry with `name.contains`, list the matches and stop if there is more than one. Note each group's `role` and `active` state.

**Step 2: Monthly trend and top links**

Call `bitly-get-click-month` with `group-name` and `year`. Sum `clicks` by month for the trend, and by `link` for the top 10 links.

**Step 3: Audience**

Call each with `group-name`:

* `bitly-get-metric-group-country` and `bitly-get-metric-group-city`
* `bitly-get-metric-group-referrer`
* `bitly-get-metric-group-device`

**Step 4: Report**

For each group:

* Total clicks in the year, best and worst month, and month-over-month direction for the last 3 months
* Top 10 links: link, title, clicks
* Top 5 countries, top 5 cities, top 5 referrers, device split as percentages
* Anything notable: one link carrying most of the traffic, a referrer that dominates, or months with no clicks at all

When covering several groups, start with a one-row-per-group comparison table (group, clicks, top country, top referrer).

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Do not call `bitly-add-bitlink` or `bitly-update-bitlink`. This prompt is read-only.
* The group-level breakdown tools are not date-filtered. Label them as all-time totals, not figures for `{year}`.

**Validation:**

* If the group exists but `bitly-get-click-month` returns nothing for the year, say the group had no clicks in `{year}` and still report the all-time audience breakdowns.
* If the group is inactive, say so at the top.
