The problem

You cannot tell if openers gave more than everyone else

You sent an appeal through Mailchimp and want to know who gave afterwards, and whether openers and clickers gave more. Answering that means matching each recipient to Bloomerang and checking gifts over the following weeks.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export recipients and activity from Mailchimp
  • Match each email to Bloomerang
  • Check gifts in the weeks after the send
  • Split results by engagement in a sheet

With PopdockAI

  • Recipients, opens and clicks are read
  • Each address is matched to Bloomerang by email
  • Gifts after the send are read, ignoring refunds and double counts
  • Donors and totals are split by engagement, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Measure the giving that followed the Mailchimp campaign `{campaign}` (a title or campaign id): which recipients gave in Bloomerang within `{days-after}` days (default 30) of the send date, split by whether they opened or clicked.

**Step 1: Find the campaign**

Call `mailchimp-get-campaign` with `campaign-id`, or with `title.contains` if `{campaign}` is not an id. If more than one matches, list them (title, send-date, status) and stop. If it has not been sent, say so and stop. Note campaign-id and send-date.

**Step 2: Read the recipients**

Call `mailchimp-get-campaign-recipient` with `campaign-id`, keeping email-address, status and open-count. Then call `mailchimp-get-campaign-email-activity` with `campaign-id` and `action` set to click to learn who clicked.

**Step 3: Match recipients to Bloomerang**

For each recipient call `bloomerang-get-email-address` with `value` set to their email-address to get the `account-id`. If nothing comes back, count the recipient as not in Bloomerang and continue.

**Step 4: Read their gifts**

For each matched account-id call `bloomerang-get-transaction` with `account-id`, `date.from` set to the send date and `date.to` set to the send date plus the window. Ignore refunded transactions.

**Step 5: Report**

A summary of recipients, matched to Bloomerang, donors and total given, broken down by clicked, opened but did not click, and did not open. Then a table of each donor: name, email, engagement (clicked/opened/none), gift date and amount. Note the campaign's own open-rate and click-rate from `mailchimp-get-report` for context.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Tools starting mailchimp- are on the mailchimp server; tools starting bloomerang- are on the bloomerang server.
* Read-only. Do NOT call `mailchimp-replicate-campaign`, `bloomerang-add-interaction` or `bloomerang-add-transaction`.
* Say that a gift after an email is correlation, not proof the email caused it.

**Validation:**

* If no recipients match Bloomerang, say so and report the match rate.
* Match emails case-insensitively.
* If a recipient's email maps to more than one account-id, list them and do not double count the gift.
