The problem
Where is my refund tickets take three screens to answer
When a customer asks in Zendesk where their refund is, you have to find the order in Shopify, see what was refunded and check whether the money went back. A refund recorded in Shopify is not the same as one that reached the card.
Without PopdockAI
- Read the ticket to see what the customer expects
- Search Shopify for the order
- Open each refund and its transaction status
- Reply without knowing if the money actually moved
With PopdockAI
- The ticket is read for what the customer says they are owed
- The order is found and the email checked against the requester
- Each refund and its transaction status are listed plainly
- You get any gap and a suggested reply, with nothing changed

**Objective:** For Zendesk ticket `{ticket-id}`, find the Shopify order it concerns (order `{order-number}` if given) and report whether a refund was issued, what it covered, and whether the money has actually gone back to the customer.
**Step 1: Read the ticket**
Call `zendesk-get-ticket` filtered by ticket-id and note requester-email, subject and created-date. Call `zendesk-get-ticket-comment` filtered by ticket-id to find an order number and what the customer says they are owed.
**Step 2: Find the order**
Call `shopify-get-order` filtered by order-number (retry with name set to # followed by the number), or by email set to the requester-email if no number is known. Confirm the order email equals the requester-email, ignoring case. If it does not, report the mismatch and stop. Note name, total-price, financial-status and currency.
**Step 3: Refunds on the order**
* Call `shopify-get-refund` filtered by order-id: refund-id, created-at, processed-at, note, restock.
* Call `shopify-get-refund-line` filtered by order-id: name, quantity, subtotal, total-tax, restock-type.
* Call `shopify-get-order-adjustment` filtered by order-id for shipping or other adjustments.
* Call `shopify-get-transaction` filtered by order-id and keep those whose kind is a refund: shop-amount, status, gateway, processed-at, error-code.
**Step 4: Report**
* What the customer asked for, from the ticket.
* Refunds issued: date, items and quantities, tax, adjustments, total.
* Money returned: each refund transaction with its status and gateway. A pending or failed transaction means the money has not gone back. Say so plainly and give the error-code.
* The gap, if any, between what the customer asked for and what was refunded.
* A suggested reply for the agent in two or three sentences. Card refunds usually take several business days to show. Say that when the transaction succeeded recently.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `zendesk-get-ticket` and `zendesk-get-ticket-comment` are on the zendesk server. `shopify-get-order`, `shopify-get-refund`, `shopify-get-refund-line`, `shopify-get-order-adjustment` and `shopify-get-transaction` are on the shopify server.
* This prompt is read-only. It cannot issue a refund, and neither server has a tool that does. Do not call `zendesk-add-ticket-comment`, `zendesk-update-ticket`, `shopify-update-order` or any other write tool.
**Validation:**
* If the order has no refunds, say so and report the order's financial-status.
* If the ticket names several orders, check each and report them separately.Who it's for
One answer, three teams that use it
Support agents
Answer refund tickets in one message
Get the refund status, the amounts and a suggested reply without switching between Zendesk and Shopify.
Ticket 51877 says the refund never arrived. Check the Shopify order and tell me what was refunded and whether it went through.
Support team leads
Spot pending and failed refunds early
Refunds that are pending or failed are called out plainly, so agents escalate them instead of promising money that has not moved.
For Zendesk ticket 50320, is the Shopify refund pending, failed or done, and does it cover what the customer asked for?
Customer service managers
Protect order details from the wrong person
The check stops when the order email does not match the requester, so details only go to the customer who owns the order.
Ticket 49102 mentions order 1088. Confirm it belongs to the requester and summarise any refunds on it.
