The problem

Answering a ticket without knowing who the customer is

To answer a Zendesk ticket well you need to know who the customer is in Shopify and what they have ordered, which means leaving the ticket to search. Order numbers mentioned in the thread sometimes belong to someone else entirely.

Without PopdockAI

  • Read the thread for order numbers
  • Search Shopify by email or order number
  • Check payment, fulfillment and tracking for each order
  • Risk sharing someone else's order details

With PopdockAI

  • The ticket and comments are read for order numbers
  • The requester is found in Shopify by email
  • Recent orders come with payment, fulfillment and tracking
  • Orders belonging to another email are flagged, read-only

Prompt
**Objective:** For Zendesk ticket `{ticket-id}`, find the requester in Shopify and summarize who they are and their last `{max-orders}` orders (default 5), so the agent can answer without leaving the ticket.

**Step 1: Read the ticket**

Call `zendesk-get-ticket` filtered by ticket-id `{ticket-id}`. If nothing comes back, say the ticket does not exist and stop. Note subject, status, priority, requester-name, requester-email and organization-name.

Call `zendesk-get-ticket-comment` filtered by ticket-id. Read the comments and note any Shopify order numbers mentioned (for example #1001 or order 1001).

**Step 2: Find the customer in Shopify**

Call `shopify-get-customer` filtered by email set to the requester-email. If nothing matches, say the requester is not a Shopify customer under that email and go to Step 3 with only the order numbers from the comments.

Note name, state, orders-count, total-spent, created-at, last-order-name, tags and phone.

**Step 3: Recent orders**

Call `shopify-get-order` filtered by email set to the requester-email, with max-records `{max-orders}`. For each order number mentioned in the ticket that is not in that result, call `shopify-get-order` filtered by order-number (retry with name set to # followed by the number).

For each order note name, created-at, total-price, financial-status, fulfillment-status and cancelled-at. For orders that are fulfilled or partly fulfilled, call `shopify-get-fulfillment-tracking-info` filtered by order-id and note tracking-company, tracking-number and tracking-url.

**Step 4: Report**

* Ticket: subject, status, requester.
* Customer: name, customer since, orders-count, total-spent, tags.
* Orders: a table of name, date, total, payment status, fulfillment status, tracking. Put the orders the ticket mentions first and mark them.
* Mismatch: if an order mentioned in the ticket belongs to a different email from the requester, say so plainly. Do not share that order's details in any reply to the requester.
* One line suggesting what the ticket is most likely about, based on the orders.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `zendesk-get-ticket` and `zendesk-get-ticket-comment` are on the zendesk server. `shopify-get-customer`, `shopify-get-order` and `shopify-get-fulfillment-tracking-info` are on the shopify server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do not call `zendesk-add-ticket-comment`, `zendesk-update-ticket`, `shopify-update-order`, `shopify-update-customer` or any other write tool.

**Validation:**

* If the ticket has no requester-email, rely on the order numbers in the comments. If there are none either, say there is nothing to look up and stop.
* If Shopify returns more than one customer for the email, list them and do not merge their orders.
