Give every Shopify B2B company a Zendesk organization
For support teams who want Shopify B2B companies set up as Zendesk organizations with their contacts, by asking their AI assistant.

The problem
B2B tickets arrive with no company attached
When B2B customers in Shopify have no matching organization in Zendesk, their tickets arrive unlinked and agents lose the company context. Setting them up by hand means checking for existing organizations, avoiding duplicates and adding each contact with a Zendesk user.
Without PopdockAI
- Export Shopify B2B companies and contacts
- Search Zendesk for each organization by name
- Create the missing ones by hand
- Add each contact who already has a Zendesk user
With PopdockAI
- Companies are matched to organizations by Shopify ID, then name
- Name-only matches are reported for a person, never linked
- You see the organizations and memberships and confirm first
- New organizations carry the Shopify ID as their external ID

**Objective:** Make sure every Shopify B2B company (or only those whose name contains `{company-name}`, if given) has a Zendesk organization, and that its contacts who already have Zendesk users belong to it. Create only after the user confirms.
**Step 1: Read the Shopify companies**
Call `shopify-get-company`, filtered by name.contains `{company-name}` if given. Note company-id, name and external-id. For each company, call `shopify-get-company-contact` filtered by company-id and note customer-email and customer-full-name.
**Step 2: Match to Zendesk organizations**
For each company, call `zendesk-get-organization` filtered by external-id set to the Shopify company-id. If nothing matches, call it filtered by name set to the company name. Sort each company into one group:
* linked: matched by external-id
* name match: matched by name only. Report these and do not change them.
* missing: no organization
**Step 3: Check the contacts**
For each contact of a linked or missing company, call `zendesk-get-user` filtered by email. If the user exists, call `zendesk-get-organization-member` filtered by user-id and check whether they already belong to the company's organization. Contacts with no Zendesk user are listed only. This prompt does not create users.
**Step 4: Confirm**
Show:
1. Organizations to create: company name, Shopify company-id, contact count.
2. Memberships to add: user name, email, organization.
3. For information: name matches that need a person to check, and contacts with no Zendesk user.
Ask the user to confirm. Create nothing until they do.
**Step 5: Create**
1. For each missing company, call `zendesk-add-organization` once with name (the Shopify name), external-id (the Shopify company-id) and tags shopify-b2b. Keep the returned id.
2. For each confirmed membership, call `zendesk-add-organization-member` once with organization-id and user-id.
**Step 6: Report**
Organizations created with their ids, memberships added, anything that failed with the error as returned, and the for-information lists from Step 4.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `shopify-get-company` and `shopify-get-company-contact` are on the shopify server. `zendesk-get-organization`, `zendesk-get-user`, `zendesk-get-organization-member`, `zendesk-add-organization` and `zendesk-add-organization-member` are on the zendesk server.
* The only write tools this prompt may call are `zendesk-add-organization` and `zendesk-add-organization-member`, once per confirmed item. Do not call `zendesk-update-organization`, `zendesk-add-user`, `zendesk-update-user` or any shopify write tool such as `shopify-update-company`.
* Never set the external-id on a name match. A person decides whether it is the same company.
**Validation:**
* If Shopify returns no companies, say so and stop.
* If everything is already linked, say so and stop.
* If creating an organization fails, skip its memberships and report them as not added.
* If the user does not confirm, create nothing.Who it's for
One answer, three teams that use it
Integration admins
Keep Shopify and Zendesk in step
Missing organizations are created with the Shopify ID as the external ID, so future matching is exact.
Sync all our Shopify B2B companies to Zendesk organizations.
Support team leads
Give agents the company context
Tickets from B2B contacts land under their organization, so agents see the account at a glance.
Make sure Contoso Ltd from Shopify has a Zendesk organization and its contacts are members.
B2B account managers
Set up new wholesale accounts in support
New B2B companies get their organization and memberships without a support admin doing it by hand.
We added Fabrikam Wholesale as a B2B company in Shopify. Set it up in Zendesk.

You optionally name a company.
02
Match
It reads B2B companies and contacts and matches Zendesk organizations by ID, then name.
