The problem
Lapsed donors worth reclaiming sit unnoticed
Lapsed donors are often worth more than new prospects, but finding them in DonorPerfect means checking every substantial donor for gifts since a cutoff. Ranking who to call and spotting unpaid pledges takes a day of exports.
Without PopdockAI
- Export donors above a giving level
- Check each one for recent gifts
- Look up last gift and last contact
- Rank them by hand in a spreadsheet
With PopdockAI
- Each candidate is tested for gifts since the lapse date
- Last gift, last contact and open pledges are added
- Donors are ranked into call, write and check groups
- It states how many were examined and writes nothing

**Objective:** Build an outreach list of lapsed donors: those whose lifetime giving is at least `{minimum-lifetime-total}` but who have no gift since `{lapsed-since-date}`. Rank them by how much is worth reclaiming. This is read-only.
**Step 1: Pull the candidate pool**
Call `donorperfect-get-donor` with `gift-total.min` set to `{minimum-lifetime-total}` (default 500 if blank) and `max-records` set to a sensible ceiling such as 200. If `{state}` is given, filter on it too.
If nothing comes back, say the pool is empty and stop.
**Step 2: Test each candidate for recent giving**
For each donor, call `donorperfect-get-gift` filtered by their `donor-id` with `gift-date.from` set to `{lapsed-since-date}` (default one year ago if blank).
* A donor with no gifts in that window is lapsed. Keep them.
* A donor with gifts in that window is active. Drop them.
If the pool is large, work through the highest `gift-total` donors first and say how many you checked.
**Step 3: Add context to the lapsed set**
For each lapsed donor, call `donorperfect-get-gift` filtered by `donor-id` with no date filter to find the last gift date and amount, and `donorperfect-get-contact` filtered by `donor-id` to find when they were last contacted.
Note any donor whose pledge `balance` is still outstanding. Those are the most urgent.
**Step 4: Report**
A table sorted by lifetime total, highest first, with these columns: donor name, donor id, lifetime total, last gift amount, last gift date, months since last gift, last contact date.
Below the table, three short groups:
* **Call first** - outstanding pledge balance, or lifetime total above the median with no contact in the last year
* **Write to** - the rest of the list
* **Check the record** - donors with no email and no recent address on file, worth confirming with `donorperfect-get-address` before any mailing
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Read-only. Do not call `donorperfect-save-contact`, `donorperfect-set-flag` or any other save tool, even to mark the donors you found.
* Say plainly how many donors you examined and how many you did not, rather than implying the list is exhaustive.
* Do not speculate about why a donor lapsed.
**Validation:**
* If `{lapsed-since-date}` is not a clear date, state the window you used instead.
* If every candidate turns out to be active, say so rather than lowering the threshold on your own.
