The problem

One order question means three screens and mental math

Explaining what happened with a BigCommerce order means opening the order, its items and the customer on three screens and doing the sums by eye. Refunds, partial shipments and oversized discounts are easy to overlook.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open the order, then its items, then the customer
  • Add up subtotal, tax, shipping and discount
  • Count shipped items against the order
  • Miss a refund or an odd discount

With PopdockAI

  • The order, items and customer are read together
  • Status, payment and the money are explained in plain language
  • Shipped items are checked against the item count
  • Refunds and odd discounts are called out, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** Explain order `{order-id}` in plain language for a support agent.

**Step 1: Read the order**

Call `bigcommerce-get-order` with `id` set to the order id. If nothing returns, say the order was not found and stop.

**Step 2: Read the items**

Call `bigcommerce-get-order-product` with `order-id` set to the order id.

**Step 3: Read the customer**

If `customer-id` is above zero, call `bigcommerce-get-customer` with `id` set to it. Otherwise note it was a guest order.

**Step 4: Report**

* Status, payment status, payment method and dates created, modified and shipped.
* Money: subtotal, tax, shipping, discount, total, refunded amount.
* Items with name, sku, quantity, line total, and any refunded flag.
* Whether `items-shipped` matches `item-count`.
* Anything odd: refund greater than zero, zero shipped items on an old order, discount larger than subtotal.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* This is a read-only job. Never call any `bigcommerce-*-add`, `bigcommerce-*-update` or `bigcommerce-*-delete` tool. Do not suggest that you changed anything.

**Validation:**

* If a read returns no records, say so plainly and stop; do not invent figures.
* If a result hits the maximum records limit, say the figures may be incomplete and name the filter that would narrow it.
