The problem
Matching lump-sum payouts to bank entries every month
Stripe pays out in lump sums that arrive a few days after the sales, net of fees, so matching them to bank entries in Dynamics 365 Business Central is a monthly chore. Missing deposits, duplicate postings and unrecorded fees hide in the gap.
Without PopdockAI
- Export paid Stripe payouts
- Search the bank account for each amount
- Allow a few days either side for arrival
- Work out the fees to expense separately
With PopdockAI
- Paid payouts are matched by exact amount a few days either side
- Entries mentioning Stripe are preferred and none is used twice
- Possible duplicates and failed payouts are listed
- Fees per currency are totalled for expensing, read-only

**Objective:** Check that every Stripe payout that arrived from `{from-date}` to `{to-date}` (default: the 30 days ending today) is recorded on G/L account `{gl-account-number}` in Business Central company `{company}` (default: the default company), and summarise the Stripe fees for the same period.
**Step 1: Read Stripe payouts**
Call `stripe-get-payout` with `status` set to paid and `arrival-date.from` / `arrival-date.to` set to the range. Keep `payout-id`, `amount`, `currency`, `arrival-date`, `description` and `balance-transaction-id`. Also call it once with `status` set to failed for the same range, to report separately.
**Step 2: Find each payout in Business Central**
For each paid payout, call `business-central-get-general-ledger-entry` with `gl-account-number` set to `{gl-account-number}`, `posting-date.from` 2 days before and `posting-date.to` 3 days after the `arrival-date`, and `amount.min` and `amount.max` both set to the payout amount.
If one entry comes back, it matches. If several come back, prefer the one whose `description`, `document-number` or `external-document-number` contains the payout-id or the word Stripe, and list the others as possible duplicates. If none, record the payout as not found in Business Central and continue. Do not use an entry for more than one payout.
**Step 3: Fees for the period**
Call `stripe-get-balance-transaction` with `created.from` and `created.to` set to the range and sum `fee` per currency. Report the total as the amount of Stripe fees that should be expensed for the period. Do not try to match fees to individual entries.
**Step 4: Report**
1. Matched payouts: payout-id, arrival-date, amount, Business Central entry-number, posting-date, document-number.
2. Payouts not found in Business Central: payout-id, arrival-date, amount, description.
3. Possible duplicates or ambiguous matches.
4. Failed payouts in the period, with failure-message.
5. Stripe fees for the period per currency.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* `stripe-get-payout` and `stripe-get-balance-transaction` are on the stripe server; `business-central-get-general-ledger-entry` is on the business-central server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `business-central-create-journal-line`, `business-central-update-journal-line` or any other create or update tool.
* Stripe amounts are in major currency units, so they compare directly with Business Central amounts.
**Validation:**
* If `{gl-account-number}` returns no entries at all in the window, say that the account number may be wrong or not yet posted, and still list the payouts.
* If a payout is in a currency other than the bank account's, say that an exact amount match is not expected and list it under not found with that reason.Who it's for
