The problem

Campaigns set up from memory, budgets never checked

Campaigns in Salesforce are often set up from memory: a name, dates and a budget typed in without checking for an existing campaign or how similar ones did. You get duplicate campaigns and budgets nobody tested against expected return.

Without PopdockAI

  • Type in the name, dates and budget by hand
  • Skip the search for an existing campaign
  • Never look at how similar campaigns performed
  • Untangle duplicate campaigns at reporting time

With PopdockAI

  • Active campaigns with the same name stop the job
  • Dates are checked and revenue below cost is flagged
  • The last three campaigns of the same type are shown as a benchmark
  • Nothing is created until you confirm

The prompt

Use this prompt

Copy it into any AI tool connected to PopdockAI. Swap the values in braces for your own.

Prompt
**Objective:** Create the campaign `{campaign-name}` of type `{type}` running from `{start-date}` to `{end-date}`.

**Step 1: Duplicate check**

Call `salesforce-get-campaign` with `name` and then `name.contains` set to `{campaign-name}`. If an active campaign with the same name exists, show it and stop.

**Step 2: Sanity checks**

* end date must be after start date
* ask for budgeted cost and expected revenue; warn if expected revenue is lower than budgeted cost
* look at the last three campaigns of the same type (`salesforce-get-campaign` with `type`) and show their budgeted cost, actual cost and won-opportunities-value as a benchmark

**Step 3: Confirm and create**

Show the exact values you will send and wait for the user to confirm before any write. If they change anything, show the revised values and confirm again. Then call `salesforce-add-campaign` once with name, type, start-date, end-date, budgeted-cost, expected-revenue, status Planned and active true.

**Step 4: Report**

The new campaign ID and its values.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `salesforce-add-campaign` is the only write tool this prompt may call, and only once.

**Validation:**

* If a date cannot be read as a date, ask again rather than guessing.

Who it's for

One answer, three teams that use it

Campaign managers

Plan campaigns against real results

See what the last three campaigns of the same type cost and won before you commit a budget.

Set up a Salesforce campaign called Spring Customer Summit, type Event, April 10 to April 12.

Marketing managers

Sanity check budgets before approval

Get a warning when expected revenue is below cost, with past campaigns as the yardstick.

Plan a Webinar campaign named Q1 Product Update from January 15 to February 28, budget 5,000.

Marketing operations

Keep attribution clean

Duplicate campaigns are caught at creation, so reporting does not split across two records.

Create the Salesforce campaign Contoso Partner Roadshow, type Event, from March 3 to March 21, if it does not exist yet.
