The problem

Email audience and donor list out of step

Your Mailchimp audience and Bloomerang donor list should line up, but donors go missing, unknown subscribers pile up and some donors unsubscribe unnoticed. Comparing the two by hand is a large spreadsheet exercise.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export the audience and the constituent list
  • Match on email in a spreadsheet
  • Check secondary addresses by hand
  • Spot unsubscribed donors and name mismatches

With PopdockAI

  • Both sides are read and matched on email
  • Secondary addresses are checked before anyone is unmatched
  • Four tables cover every kind of gap, with counts
  • It only reads, and says when a read hit its limit

Prompt
**Objective:** Compare the Mailchimp audience `{list-name}` with Bloomerang constituents of status `{constituent-status}` (default Active) and report where the two disagree, matched on email address.

**Step 1: Read the Mailchimp audience**

Call `mailchimp-get-list-member` with `list-name` set to `{list-name}` and a high `max-records`. Keep each member's email, status, full-name and tags. If nothing comes back, call `mailchimp-get-list` with `name.contains` set to `{list-name}`, list the audiences it finds, and stop.

**Step 2: Read the Bloomerang constituents**

Call `bloomerang-get-constituent` with `status` set to `{constituent-status}` (Active if blank) and a high `max-records`. Keep id, full-name, type and primary-email. Constituents with no primary-email cannot be matched; count them separately.

**Step 3: Match on email**

Compare emails case-insensitively after trimming spaces. A Bloomerang constituent may hold more than one address: for any Mailchimp member not matched on primary-email, call `bloomerang-get-email-address` with `value` set to that email before treating it as unmatched, and use the `account-id` it returns.

**Step 4: Report**

Four sections, each a table with name, email and the Bloomerang id where there is one:

1. Bloomerang constituents with an email who are not in the audience.
2. Audience members with no Bloomerang constituent.
3. Matched people whose Mailchimp status is unsubscribed or cleaned (donors you can no longer email).
4. Matched people whose names differ between the two systems.

End with counts: audience size, constituents read, matched, constituents with no email.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `mailchimp-get-list-member` and `mailchimp-get-list` are on the mailchimp server; `bloomerang-get-constituent` and `bloomerang-get-email-address` are on the bloomerang server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `mailchimp-add-list-member`, `mailchimp-update-list-member`, `bloomerang-add-constituent`, `bloomerang-update-constituent` or `bloomerang-add-email-address`. Recommend fixes; do not make them.

**Validation:**

* If either side returns nothing, say which and stop rather than reporting everyone as missing.
* If a read hits its `max-records` limit, say the comparison is partial.
* Treat two emails that differ only by case as the same person.
