The problem

Fund totals and G/L credits rarely agree at first

At period end each Bloomerang fund total should agree with its Business Central G/L account, but it rarely does at first. Tracking down the gap means listing gifts and ledger entries side by side for every fund.

Without PopdockAI

  • Export gifts by fund from Bloomerang
  • Pull G/L entries for each fund account
  • Line them up side by side
  • Chase every gap entry by entry

With PopdockAI

  • Gifts are totalled by fund from designations, refunds kept apart
  • Each fund is compared with net credits on its G/L account
  • Each fund is marked matched, higher on one side or unmapped
  • Entries behind each gap are listed, and nothing is changed

Prompt
**Objective:** For gifts dated `{date-from}` to `{date-to}`, compare the total Bloomerang gives each fund with what Business Central company `{company}` (blank means the connector's default company) shows on that fund's G/L account, and explain the gaps.

**Step 1: Read the gifts (Bloomerang)**

Call `bloomerang-get-transaction` with `date.from` = `{date-from}` and `date.to` = `{date-to}`. Keep `id`, `transaction-number`, `date`, `amount` and `refunded`. If more than 200 come back, report the count and ask for a shorter period before going on.

For each transaction, call `bloomerang-get-designation` with `transaction-id` set to the transaction's `id`, and keep `fund-name` and `amount`. Total the designation amounts by fund. Keep refunded transactions in a separate total per fund.

**Step 2: Map funds to accounts (Bloomerang)**

Call `bloomerang-get-fund` once and map each fund `name` to its `general-ledger-class`.

**Step 3: Read the ledger (Business Central)**

For each GL class, call `business-central-get-general-ledger-entry` with `gl-account-number` set to it, `posting-date.from` = `{date-from}` and `posting-date.to` = `{date-to}`. Pass `{company}` as `company`; omit it when blank. Total `credit-amount` minus `debit-amount` for the account.

**Step 4: Report**

A table with one row per fund: fund, GL account, Bloomerang gift total, Bloomerang refunded total, Business Central net credits, difference, and status (Matched, Bloomerang higher, Business Central higher, Unmapped).

For each fund that differs, list the Business Central entries (posting date, document number, external document number, description, amount) and the Bloomerang transactions (transaction number, date, amount) so the user can see where the gap sits. Gift journal entries posted by the post-gifts-to-journal prompt carry the document number `BLM` followed by the Bloomerang transaction number, which lets you pair them one to one.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `bloomerang-get-transaction`, `bloomerang-get-designation` and `bloomerang-get-fund` are on the bloomerang server. `business-central-get-general-ledger-entry` is on the business-central server.
* This prompt is read-only. Do NOT call `business-central-create-journal-line`, `business-central-update-journal-line`, `bloomerang-update-transaction` or `bloomerang-add-refund`, or any other create, update or add tool.
* A G/L account can carry non-gift income too. When Business Central is higher and the extra entries have no `BLM` document number, say they are probably not gifts rather than calling them errors.

**Validation:**

* If Bloomerang returns no transactions for the period, say so and stop.
* A fund with a blank GL class, or a GL class that matches no Business Central account, is Unmapped. Report its Bloomerang total and skip the ledger call.
* Gifts dated near the period's edges can post to Business Central a day or two later. Mention entries just outside the period only if they would close a gap.
