Prove inventory came across to Intacct item by item
For operations and finance teams who want Dynamics GP stock compared with Sage Intacct at cutover, by asking their AI assistant.

The problem
Inventory carried over, but nobody can prove it
Proving inventory came across from Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct means pairing sites with warehouses, then comparing quantity and value item by item. Activity on either side since cutover muddies the comparison.
Without PopdockAI
- Pair GP sites with Intacct warehouses by hand
- Export quantities and costs from both systems
- Match items and compare value with the right cost method
- Lose real gaps among non-inventory items
With PopdockAI
- GP sites are paired with Intacct warehouses
- Quantity and value are compared item by item with the matching cost method
- Missing items, quantity and cost differences are listed with site totals
- Non-inventory items are skipped and counted, with nothing changed

**Objective:** Check that items, on-hand quantities and costs match between Dynamics GP and Intacct, for GP site `{site-id}` and item `{item-number}` when given (default: every site and item).
**Step 1: Sites and warehouses**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-iv-site` and `intacct-get-warehouse`. Pair GP `site-id` with Intacct `warehouse-id`, exactly first, then by description against `warehouse-name`. List any site with no warehouse and stop there for that site.
**Step 2: GP quantities and costs**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-iv-item-quantity` (`item-number` and `location-code-from-item-master` when given). Use the per-site rows (`record-type` distinguishes the item total from site rows; use the codes the tool lists). Call `dynamics-gp-get-iv-item` for `item-type`, `valuation-method`, `current-cost` and `standard-cost`.
**Step 3: Intacct quantities and costs**
Call `intacct-get-item` to confirm each item exists (`item-id`), and `intacct-get-item-warehouse` for `on-hand`, `average-cost` and `standard-cost` by `warehouse-id`.
**Step 4: Compare**
Match GP `item-number` to Intacct `item-id` exactly (then ignoring case). For each item and site compare quantity on hand, and value as quantity times cost (GP current cost, or standard cost for standard-cost items, against the Intacct cost for the matching method).
**Step 5: Report**
1. Items in GP with stock but not in Intacct (these need an item import; there is no item-creation tool here).
2. Quantity differences by item and site, largest value difference first.
3. Cost differences over 1 percent.
4. Totals: GP units and value, Intacct units and value, per site.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Tools prefixed dynamics-gp- are on the dynamics-gp MCP server. Tools prefixed intacct- are on the intacct MCP server. Both servers must be connected; if a tool from either is missing, say which server is not connected and stop.
* Pass `{gp-company}` as `company` on every dynamics-gp- call (empty means the default GP company). Use the default Intacct company; if the Intacct side holds several entities and it is not clear which one received this GP company, ask before starting.
* Set `max-records` high (5000) on every list read. If a read returns exactly that many rows, say the result may be truncated and narrow the filter (per account, per vendor, per customer or per item) instead of reporting totals from it.
* Quantities are live, not as of cutover. If either system has had receipts, sales or adjustments since, say that differences may be activity, and suggest checking `intacct-get-inventory-transaction-line` for the item.
* Read only. Do NOT call `dynamics-gp-iv-inventory-transaction-add`, `dynamics-gp-iv-item-update` or `dynamics-gp-iv-inventory-transfer-add`.
**Validation:**
* Skip non-inventoried GP item types (services, flat fee, misc charges) and say how many were skipped.
* If GP shows quantity allocated to open orders, report it next to the difference; it does not change on hand.Who it's for

How it works
What PopdockAI does when you ask
You optionally pick a site or item, and your AI assistant compares Dynamics GP inventory with Sage Intacct. It warns where activity since cutover may explain a difference, and only reads.
01
Ask
You optionally pick a site or an item.
02
Pair
It pairs Dynamics GP sites with Sage Intacct warehouses.
03
Compare
It compares each item's quantity and value using the matching cost method.
04
Report
You get missing items, quantity and cost differences and site totals.
