Add missing GP accounts to your Intacct chart, correctly typed
For finance teams moving from Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct who want the gaps in the chart of accounts filled, by asking their AI assistant.

The problem
Missing accounts break postings after the move
After moving from Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct, GP main accounts that never made it into the new chart cause failed imports and postings. Creating them by hand means working out type, balance and closing for each one.
Without PopdockAI
- Export GP main accounts and the Intacct chart
- Compare them and spot accounts mapped under a new title
- Work out type, normal balance and closing for each gap
- Create the accounts in Intacct one at a time
With PopdockAI
- Active GP main accounts are compared with the Intacct chart
- Accounts that look already mapped are left out
- Type, normal balance and closing are proposed for each gap
- Only confirmed accounts are created and each is read back

**Objective:** Create in Intacct the GP main accounts that have no Intacct account yet, optionally only segment `{main-segment}`, after the user confirms each proposed account.
**Step 1: Find the gaps**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-gl-account` with `active` = true (`main-account-segment` = `{main-segment}` when given) and group by `main-account-segment`. Call `intacct-get-account` and keep segments with no Intacct `account-number` (compare exactly, then with leading zeros removed). If a GP description closely matches an existing Intacct title, list it as "possibly already mapped" and leave it out of the proposal.
**Step 2: Propose**
For each gap propose:
* `account-number`: the GP main segment.
* `title`: the GP description shared by most full accounts under that segment.
* `account-type`: balance sheet for GP posting type Balance Sheet, income statement for Profit and Loss.
* `normal-balance`: from GP `typical-balance`.
* `closing-type`: balance sheet accounts do not close; income statement accounts close into a retained earnings account, so ask the user which Intacct account to use as `closing-account`.
* `status`: active. Leave `category` empty unless the user supplies one.
Use the values each parameter's schema lists. Show the proposal as a table and ask the user to confirm, edit or drop rows. Ask for the retained earnings account once.
**Step 3: Create**
Only after confirmation, call `intacct-create-account` once per confirmed row. Stop on the first failure, report the error, and ask whether to continue.
**Step 4: Confirm**
Call `intacct-get-account` for each account created and report: created, failed (with the error), skipped by the user.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Tools prefixed dynamics-gp- are on the dynamics-gp MCP server. Tools prefixed intacct- are on the intacct MCP server. Both servers must be connected; if a tool from either is missing, say which server is not connected and stop.
* Pass `{gp-company}` as `company` on every dynamics-gp- call and `{intacct-company}` as `company` on every intacct- call. Leave either empty to use that server's default company, and name the companies you used in the report.
* Set `max-records` high (5000) on every list read. If a read returns exactly that many rows, say the result may be truncated and narrow the filter (per account, per vendor, per customer or per item) instead of reporting totals from it.
* The only write allowed is `intacct-create-account`, once per confirmed account. Never call `intacct-update-account` on an existing account. Never write to GP: do NOT call `dynamics-gp-gl-account-add` or `dynamics-gp-gl-account-update`.
* Propose at most 50 accounts per confirmation; offer to continue with the next batch.
**Validation:**
* If nothing is missing, say the charts are aligned for the segments checked and stop.
* If GP full accounts under one segment have clearly different descriptions, flag that the segment may need an Intacct dimension or several accounts, and let the user decide before creating it.Who it's for
One answer, three teams that use it
Migration leads
Close chart gaps before imports fail
Missing accounts are found and created in batches, so data loads stop failing on accounts that do not exist.
Which Dynamics GP main accounts in the 6000 range are missing from Sage Intacct? Create them after I review.
Controllers
Approve each account's type and balance
Every proposed account shows its type, normal balance and closing treatment, so the chart is set up correctly first time.
Propose Intacct accounts for any active GP accounts we have not mapped yet, with type and normal balance.
General ledger accountants
Post without account errors
Postings that failed on a missing account can go through once the account exists in Intacct.
A journal failed in Intacct because account 7450 is missing. Is it in Dynamics GP, and can you create it?
How it works
What PopdockAI does when you ask
You optionally choose a main segment, and your AI assistant finds the GP accounts missing from Sage Intacct. Only the rows you confirm are created, and Dynamics GP is never written to.
01
Ask
You optionally choose a main segment.
02
Compare
It compares active Dynamics GP main accounts with the Sage Intacct chart.
03
Confirm
You review the proposed type, normal balance and closing, and edit or drop rows.
04
Create
It creates the confirmed accounts and reads each one back.
