The problem
A vendor's full picture lives in six windows
Knowing what you buy from a vendor and how well you pay them means opening several Dynamics GP windows for spend, payment timing, invoices, orders and receipts. Adding distributions the wrong way also double counts spend.
Without PopdockAI
- Add up distributions for spend by account
- Compare payment dates with due dates by hand
- List open invoices, credits and purchase orders
- Double count spend from offsetting entries
With PopdockAI
- Spend is summed by GL account from purchase distributions only
- Payments are counted early, on time and late, with discounts taken
- Open invoices, credits, orders and unposted receipts follow
- A gap between open items and balance is noted, with nothing changed

**Objective:** Review what the company bought from and paid to `{vendor-name}` between `{from-date}` (default 90 days ago) and `{to-date}` (default today), and what is still open with them.
Pass `{company}` as `company` on every call (if it is empty, omit `company` and the default company is used). Pass a generous `max-records` (1000). If a result comes back with exactly that many rows, say the result may be truncated.
**Step 1: Resolve the vendor**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-pm-vendor` with `vendor-name.contains` set to `{vendor-name}`; if nothing matches, try `vendor-id` set to `{vendor-name}`. If more than one vendor matches, list id, name and city and stop. From the record note `current-balance`, `hold`, `vendor-status`, `payment-terms-id`, `vendor-class-id`, `vendor-contact`, `phone-number-1` and `primary-email-address`. Use the `vendor-id` for every later step.
**Step 2: Spend by account**
From `dynamics-gp-get-pm-payables-dist` filtered by `vendor-id`, `posting-date.from` and `posting-date.to`, sum the purchases distributions by `account-number`. Use only the purchases `type`: payables, cash and discount distributions offset each other and would double count if added in.
**Step 3: Payment behaviour**
Call `dynamics-gp-get-pm-payables-apply` filtered by `vendor-id` and the payment-date range. For each application compare `payment-date` with `apply-to-document-due-date`: report the count paid early, on time and late, the average days late, and the total `discount-taken-amount`.
**Step 4: What is still open**
* `dynamics-gp-get-pm-payables-trx` filtered by `vendor-id`: non-voided documents with `current-trx-amount` greater than 0. Split invoices from credits by `document-type` and show overdue ones (`due-date` before today) first.
* `dynamics-gp-get-pm-purchase-order` filtered by `vendor-id`: purchase orders whose `po-status` is still open, with `remaining-subtotal`, `required-date` and `promised-date`.
* `dynamics-gp-get-pm-receivings-trx` filtered by `vendor-id` and the receipt-date range: receipts whose `posting-status` is unposted.
**Step 5: Report**
* Header: vendor id, name, status, hold, terms, contact, current balance.
* Totals for the period: purchases, paid, discounts taken.
* Spend by account number, largest first.
* Payment timing summary.
* Open invoices (document number, due date, days overdue, remaining amount) and open credits.
* Open purchase orders, past required date first; unposted receipts.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Read-only. Do not call `dynamics-gp-pm-vendor-update`, `dynamics-gp-pm-vendor-note`, `dynamics-gp-pm-payables-trx-add`, `dynamics-gp-pm-purchase-order-add`, `dynamics-gp-pm-purchase-order-update`, `dynamics-gp-pm-receivings-trx-add` or any tool whose name does not contain `get`.
* If the sum of open `current-trx-amount` differs noticeably from `current-balance`, report both; do not pick one.
**Validation:**
* If the period has no distributions, report that and still show the open items.
* If the vendor is on hold or inactive, say so at the top.Who it's for
