Spot misconfigured accounts in your Adaptive Planning chart
For finance teams who want the chart of accounts checked for duplicates and odd settings, just by asking their AI assistant.

The problem
Misconfigured accounts slip past a manual scroll
Analysts scroll the Workday Adaptive Planning chart of accounts by hand looking for duplicates and odd settings, and they miss them. A shared code or a child with the wrong balance type shows up only when a plan does not add up.
Without PopdockAI
- Scroll the chart of accounts page by page
- Compare each account with its siblings by eye
- Track duplicate codes in a side spreadsheet
- Find the error when a plan does not add up
With PopdockAI
- Matching accounts are read in one pass
- Duplicates, empty groups and mismatched settings are flagged
- Each issue type gets a recommended fix
- It warns about truncation and changes nothing
The prompt
Use this prompt
Copy it into any AI tool connected to PopdockAI. Swap the values in braces for your own.
**Objective:** Review the chart of accounts, narrowed to account type `{account-type}` (default: all types) and to names containing `{name-contains}` (default: no name filter), and list the accounts that look misconfigured.
**Step 1: Pull the accounts**
Call `workday-adaptive-planning-get-account`. Pass `account-type` if one was given and `name.contains` if a name filter was given. If more than one company is in play and the user named one, pass `company`. Use a high `max-records` so the list is not truncated; if the result count equals `max-records`, say the list may be cut off.
**Step 2: Check each account against these rules**
* An account with no `parent-id` is a top-level account; list them as the roots.
* Two accounts with the same `name` or the same `code`.
* Accounts with an empty `account-group`, or a `balance-type` or `subtype` that differs from siblings under the same parent.
* Accounts whose `data-entry-type`, `time-rollup`, `plan-by` or `actuals-by` differs from siblings under the same parent.
* Intercompany accounts, listed separately.
**Step 3: Report**
Give the total account count, a count by `account-type`, then a table of flagged accounts with columns code, name, issue. End with a one-line recommendation per issue type.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* This prompt is read-only. Never call `workday-adaptive-planning-add-dimension-value`, `workday-adaptive-planning-update-dimension-value`, `workday-adaptive-planning-import-value`, `workday-adaptive-planning-erase-values` or `workday-adaptive-planning-publish-admin-changes`.
* Report only what the data shows; do not guess at intent.
**Validation:**
* If no accounts come back, say so and suggest loosening the filters.
* If `{account-type}` is not a value the data recognises, show the distinct account types you can see and stop.Who it's for
