Catch Bloomerang funds mapped to bad Sage Intacct accounts
For nonprofit finance teams who want fund to account problems found before journal entries fail in Sage Intacct, by asking their AI.

The problem
Journal entries fail on funds mapped to bad accounts
Each Bloomerang fund points at a Sage Intacct account through its GL class, but values get stray spaces, accounts go inactive and some close to direct posting. Problems appear only when a journal entry fails, and checking takes an afternoon.
Without PopdockAI
- List funds and their GL class
- Search Intacct for each account
- Check status, posting and required dimensions
- Wait for a journal entry to fail
With PopdockAI
- Each GL class is looked up as an account, retrying once with clean formatting
- Projects are checked when no account matches
- Findings are graded blocking, warning or note
- Each fix names the system to change, and nothing is changed

**Objective:** Check that each Bloomerang fund maps to a Sage Intacct general ledger account that exists, is active and accepts direct postings, for funds whose name contains `{fund-name}` if given (default: every active fund). Report the problems ranked by severity, with the fix for each. Change nothing.
**Step 1: Read the funds (Bloomerang)**
Call `bloomerang-get-fund` with `active` true, or with `name.contains` set to the fund name if one is given. Keep `id`, `name`, `general-ledger-class`, `default` and `active`.
**Step 2: Look up each GL class (Intacct)**
For each distinct `general-ledger-class`, call `intacct-get-account` with `account-number` set to it.
* If nothing comes back, retry once with the value cleaned up (spaces removed, a trailing .00 dropped). If that finds an account, the mapping has a formatting mismatch.
* If there is still nothing, the value may be a project code rather than an account: call `intacct-get-project` with `project-id` set to it.
Do not search by title or partial number. A near miss is still a mismatch.
**Step 3: Grade each fund**
* **Blocking:** blank `general-ledger-class`; no Intacct account or project with that number; the account's `status` is not active; `disallow-direct-posting` is true, so a journal entry cannot post to it.
* **Warning:** a formatting mismatch; the account is a balance sheet account rather than an income statement account (`account-type`); `require-dimension-department` or `require-dimension-location` is true, so every gift posting must carry that ID; the class matched an Intacct project, not an account, so a posting still needs a revenue account.
* **Note:** several funds share one account, which is fine if intended but means fund-level reporting in Intacct needs a dimension.
**Step 4: Report**
A table ranked Blocking, then Warning, then Note: fund, `general-ledger-class`, what Intacct holds for it (account number, title, type and status, or the project), the finding, and the fix, saying which value to change and in which system. End with how many funds were checked and how many are clean.
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Tools named bloomerang- are on the Bloomerang MCP server; tools named intacct- are on the Sage Intacct MCP server. Both servers must be connected.
* Read only. Do not call `bloomerang-update-fund`, `bloomerang-add-fund`, `intacct-create-account` or `intacct-update-account`. Recommend each fix; do not make it.
* Omit `company` on Intacct calls unless the user names one.
**Validation:**
* If no fund matches, say so and stop.
* If every fund is clean, say so in one line rather than printing an empty table.Who it's for
One answer, three teams that use it
Nonprofit accountants
Fix blockers before you book gifts
Blocking findings are listed first, so you clear what would stop posting.
Audit Bloomerang fund mapping to Intacct and show only blocking findings.
Finance directors
See warnings that cause bad reporting
Balance sheet accounts and required dimensions are flagged as warnings to review.
Which Bloomerang funds map to Intacct balance sheet accounts or need a department?
Systems administrators
Know where to make each fix
Every finding names the system to change, Bloomerang or Intacct.
Audit Intacct mapping for Bloomerang funds with Capital in the name and tell me where to fix each.
How it works
What PopdockAI does when you ask
You check every active fund or those matching a name, and your AI assistant audits their Sage Intacct mapping. It never matches by title or partial number.
01
Ask
You check every active fund, or those matching a name.
02
Look up
It finds each GL class as a Sage Intacct account, or a project.
03
Grade
It ranks findings blocking, warning or note.
