The problem

A ticked checklist does not mean the close is done

Judging month-end progress means comparing a TickTick checklist with journal entries, bills and invoices in Rillet, by eye. Tasks get ticked without the ledger activity behind them, or the work is done and never marked.

Without PopdockAI

  • Read the close checklist in TickTick
  • Pull journal entries, bills and invoices from Rillet
  • Compare each step with ledger activity by eye
  • Report progress the ledger does not support

With PopdockAI

  • The checklist and Rillet activity for the period are read
  • Done, open and overdue counts sit beside ledger counts
  • Steps supported by ledger activity are identified
  • Conclusions are labelled as inference, and nothing is posted

Prompt
**Objective:** Report progress on the month-end close for {period-start} to {period-end} by reading the checklist in TickTick project {project-name} and the activity in Rillet. Read-only.

**Step 1: Read the checklist (TickTick)**

Call `ticktick-get-tasks` with `project-name` = {project-name}. Separate open and completed tasks, and note overdue ones (`due-date` in the past, still open). If the project returns nothing, stop and say so.

**Step 2: Read ledger activity (Rillet)**

Call `rillet-get-journal-entries` and keep entries dated in the period. Call `rillet-get-bills` with `bill-date.from` and `bill-date.to` set to the period and count by `status`. Call `rillet-get-invoices` and count invoices dated in the period by `status`, noting any `overdue`.

**Step 3: Report**

Checklist: done, open and overdue counts with the overdue titles. Ledger: counts of journal entries, bills and invoices by status. Then list checklist tasks whose title suggests work visible in Rillet (accruals, bills, invoicing) and say whether Rillet activity supports them being done or open. Mark conclusions as inference.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* `ticktick-*` tools are on the TickTick MCP server; `rillet-*` tools are on the Rillet MCP server. Both servers must be connected.
* Do NOT call any write tool on either server, including `ticktick-complete-task`, `ticktick-update-task`, `rillet-add-journal-entry` or `rillet-update-journal-entry`.

**Validation:**

* If Rillet returns no records for the period, say so rather than reporting the checklist as complete.
* Do not mark any task complete.
