The problem

Timesheets nobody can total quickly

Time tracked in Asana is stored entry by entry against tasks, with no project attached. Adding up a week by day and project, and spotting a missing day or a 12 hour entry, is slow work.

Without PopdockAI

  • Open each time entry
  • Map tasks to projects by hand
  • Total by day and project
  • Miss the empty day or the long entry

With PopdockAI

  • Time totalled by day, project and task
  • Empty working days marked
  • Entries over 8 hours and days over 10 flagged
  • Unplaced time shown as unattributed, no entry edited

Prompt
**Objective:** Summarize the time tracked in Asana by `{person-name}` between `{date-from}` and `{date-to}` (default: the last 7 days, ending today).

**Step 1: Resolve the person**

Call `asana-get-user` with `name` set to `{person-name}`; if nothing matches, try `name.contains`, then `email` if the input looks like an email address. If more than one user matches, list them with their email and stop. Record the `user-id`.

**Step 2: Read the entries**

Call `asana-get-time-tracking-entry` with `created-by-id` set to the user id, `entered-on.from` set to the start date and `entered-on.to` set to the end date. Set `max-records` high enough to cover the range (500).

**Step 3: Attribute to projects**

The entries carry the task name and `task-id` but not the project. For the tasks carrying the most time (up to 15), call `asana-get-tasks` with `name` set to the task name and match the result on `task-id` to find its projects. Leave the rest as unattributed rather than guessing.

**Step 4: Report**

* **Total:** hours and minutes for the range, and the average per working day
* **By day:** each date in the range with its total; mark working days with nothing logged
* **By project:** total per project, plus an Unattributed line
* **By task:** the top 15 tasks by time, with project and total
* **Flags:** single entries over 8 hours, and days over 10 hours in total

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Read-only. Do not call `asana-create-time-tracking-entry` or `asana-update-time-tracking-entry`, or any other create or update tool, even to fix an obvious mistake. Point it out instead.
* Durations are in minutes; convert to hours and minutes in the report.

**Validation:**

* If no entries come back, say so, and check the same range without the person filter only if the user asks.
* If `{date-from}` is after `{date-to}`, say so and stop.
